Off the Beaten Path
ParkChat

Q1. Tonight, @Exotichikes leads the way as we focus on going off the beaten path. What’s your definition of such? #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1: For me it’s going where most wont, away from the cozy tourist areas, where you can’t hear the masses only nature #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1) To me that would mean a trail less taken so you'll be away from the crowds. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1) #ParkChat Off the Beaten Path: Rarely, if ever a place in the wilderness that has rarely been seen or explored.

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1) Getting beyond the typical trails at your local parks and finding some places with fewer people and more nature. #ParkChat

A1) For us, it's just getting away from the norms of home, exploring what we can, and having fun. All the parks are off the beaten path for us! #ParkChat

A1) Off the beaten path, for me, are places that aren't on the main tourist routes. They can still be popular, or well known, but don't have the reputation of "Must-see" that other locations do. #ParkChat

A1 Uhm. Well. My definition of "going off the beaten path" means finding the beaten path, and then going off it. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1) Any trail that's not clearly highlighted/marked in the Visitor Center. #ParkChat

A1 A place where I can go skinny dipping without families w/ kids spotting me or Japanese tourists snapping photos of the crazy American #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1. Entering the unknown, or the lesser known, at least. #parkchat

A1 Stepping off the boardwalk and into a hot spring @YellowstoneNPS. I wouldn't recommend it #parkchat

RT @RoadTripsCoffee: A1 Uhm. Well. My definition of "going off the beaten path" means finding the beaten path, and then going off it. #Park…

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1 #parkchat Generally, the places that don't get much love, or the ones that require some effort or patience to visit.

A1 My definition of off-the-beaten path means going off trail to the top of something….like Static Peak in Grand Teton. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1. Generally speaking - places with less foot traffic. But, oftentimes OTBP means Bushwhacking to me. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1. Any hike where you use a map and compass would qualify as off the beaten path. #ParkChat

A2 Hiking or climbing is my preference to get away from the masses. Usually after a few miles, the masses thin out, so putting down miles is necessary. Off trail above Hurricane Pass looking at Grand Teton. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @Exotichikes A1 Somewhere where you can go on a summer weekend and never see another soul. #ParkChat
