Q4) Shifting gears toward the indoors. While some visitors centers in Parks get all the attention, what is a visitor center or National Park museum that you feel deserves more recognition and visits? #ParkChat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A4) @PointReyesNPS ! Their visitor center was simply amazing and we learned so much and were so engaged, we actually spent close to 45 minutes longer than that we expected! #ParkChat

A4 It's been since high school, but I remember the VC at Women's Rights NHP to be quite thought provoking. Seneca Falls should be a pilgrimage site for every American women - and men too #parkchat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A4 #ParkChat Some of the more moving visitor centers are the ones that tell personal stories. The one at Brown v Board of Education NHS in Topeka, KS really opened my eyes, as did Selma to Montgomery NHT and Manzanar. Tuskegee Airman is an interesting mix of stories & planes.

A4 At @VicksburgNPS they have a partial restoration of the ironclad USS Cairo beneath a massive white tent with a small museum to explore. It was fascinating! #ParkChat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A4 Not in a national park, but the Rocky Reach Dam on the Columbia River has an absolutely incredible visitor center and museum! When we were there last June we had the place all to ourselves. #ParkChat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes .A4. I'll give a shoutout to the @March4RightsNPS Lowndes County Visitor Center on the Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail - which honestly deserves recognition as a full-fledged National Park. It does a great job of telling a heroic story. #ParkChat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A4. The visitor center at Gettysburg Military Park does an outstanding job of explaining the 3 day battle, along with great exhibits. The Eisenhower home/library visitor center in Abilene, KS, meant a lot to me because my mother was an Army nurse in Europe, WWII. #parkchat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A4) I think there should be a museum with more artifacts from @DryTortugasNPS , like Dr. Mudd's cane and the seaweed pressings by the soldiers! #Parkchat
