Q5) Back outside we go. Many Parks have well-known, easy trails that help introduce visitors to the landscape and history of the region. What is a short, #offthebeatenpath trail that you feel is equally awesome that doesn’t get the crowds or fame? #ParkChat

A5) Watchman Trail at Zion. It's a pretty easy trail, you get a great overlook without the risk of Angels Landing. #ParkChat #hiking

A5. Mainly because I raised it prior, let’s go with Table Mountain. Best view of the Tetons, hands down. #ParkChat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A5) If you want to walk in the footsteps of John Muir then you can't do much better than to take the trail on the Mt Wanda section of @JohnMuirNPS since is there where he'd walk with his daughters & talk about nature and other things. #ParkChat

A5 @TheNatchezTrace runs alongside, and sometimes over, the old Natchez Trace Trail. There are sections you can still hike today, including the Sunken Trace pictured here. #ParkChat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A5: We were surprised there was no one else in @lakemeadnps's Owl Canyon when we visited last year. #ParkChat

A5) Being alone with your thoughts in @RockyNPS in winter was a cool experience. Nobody else around on the Grand Lake side. #ParkChat

RT @AlongfortheTrip: A5) Being alone with your thoughts in @RockyNPS in winter was a cool experience. Nobody else around on the Grand Lake…

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes #Parkchat A5 There's a really neat self-guided trail at the top of the Blacktail Plateau area @YellowstoneNPS that no one seems to stop for. We love the views up there!

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes .A5. The Virginius Island Trail @HarpersFerryNPS often gets over-looked, but it is a very pleasant walk among nature and history. #ParkChat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes a5) visit two medicine lake in Glacier National Park (on the east side) Hike few miles to a neat lake ! way less visited than other parts of the park #parkchat

replying to @Exotichikes @Exotichikes A5 The short trails near Two Medicine Lake in @GlacierNPS are beautiful, but the area is less popular and crowded than Many Glacier or the Going-to-the-Sun road. #ParkChat

replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @Exotichikes @JohnMuirNPS A5. I'd like to place my answer here. In Wisconsin you can also walk in Muir's footsteps in the first place he lived in North America. It's now called Ennis Lake. There is a trail around the lake. It's a county park, but I've never seen anyone else when I've been there. #parkchat
