Social Media and Parks
ParkChat
Hey there @TouringTastebud @59NationalParks Cynthia joining in from #Minnesota #ParkChat
Since its Social Media night I’m tweeting live from the high speed internet mecca of Grand Lake, #Oklahoma tonight. #ParkChat
A2. Yes! We used social media a ton to plan our huge West Coast Road Trip!
We used @YouTube for hiking trails, @instagram for the key spots and places to visit and @Twitter to bounce ideas off others and get feedback! 🙌🏼 #ParkChat
replying to @TouringTastebud @TouringTastebud A2 Totally! Our recent trips to California were all about reading reviews and seeing sights online first. #ParkChat
A3 I think that Instagram has to take the cake! When we are checking for updates I have found Twitter to be a great resource though! Gives you instant feedback! #ParkChat
replying to @TouringTastebud @TouringTastebud First and foremost I use social media to share what we are doing in the Parks. And to make fun of @RoadTripsCoffee #ParkChat
replying to @TouringTastebud @TouringTastebud #parkchat A4 we like to see if other people from #parkchat or other chats will be in the same area at the same time. Fun to meet those we follow! @beckyjlomax
A5 NATIONAL PARKS 100%! Social media has been a huge influence in my life but being in the National Parks this year truly made me realize priorities of life and enjoying the views not the “tweets”! #ParkChat
replying to @TouringTastebud @TouringTastebud A5) definitely parks, hands down !! #naturelovers #ParkChat family time like none other
replying to @TouringTastebud @TouringTastebud A5. Tough question. I grew up going on NPS road trips. But I'm also of the #socialmedia generation. Chatrooms. AIM. Myspace. Facebook. Twitter. Blogs. The internet is what allowed my husband to work remotely so that we could take our #NationalParksRoadTrip. So. both? #parkChat
