Q8. We’re a week into spring in the Sierra, the season celebrated for waterfalls and (low-elevation) wildflowers. Every month has its merits – what’s your favorite time of year to be in #Yosemite, & why? #ParkChat
replying to @unconpeace @unconpeace @YosemiteNPS Here's the abstract for one article: https://t.co/Dxp2hWpT96. I believe NPS gathers data as well, although in these times, who knows. #ParkChat
RT @Parkasaur: @WildWithinHer A7. Taking advantage of Yosemite's great shuttle system is a fantastic way to limit one's footprint. #ParkCha…
replying to @e_terren @e_terren @YoseConservancy Lol, it's a routine that I developed over a number of years of visiting the park. #ParkChat
replying to @Parkasaur @Parkasaur @WildWithinHer It really does help get around, doesn't it. #ParkChat
replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @YoseConservancy Thanks, Ben. It should be a full day, or a full day plus another half day. Got to see the Valley last time, and game for that again, and especially along some routes that were still closed due to snow. #parkchat

A7 With enough practice, I can transform myself into pure spirit and thereby reduce my physical impact on the park to zero #parkchat
A8) I'm going to say May, because that is when we are making our first visit! ;) Honestly, I like visiting parks in fall and spring to avoid the biggest crowds. #parkchat https://t.co/HCOOrdzAwo
A8: We’ll put in a plug for winter (and for having a safe, enjoyable experience when it's cold and snowy: https://t.co/LqNfcH259v) #ParkChat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy A8) I was only able to visit in the summer, but I think I would love to see Yosemite in the fall. #ParkChat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy A8 #ParkChat I’ve only visited in the middle of summer. I’d love to visit Yosemite in January when the valley is covered in snow.
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy A8 We visited in late spring, early summer after a good snow season. The falls were booming. It was stunningly beautiful. #ParkChat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy We’ve only been once and that was in October. Moderate crowds. Great weather. We’d go to @YosemiteNPS again in the Fall. #ParkChat

A8. I have lovely memories of being there in winter. Snow on the sequoias, pine-infused cold air. #ParkChat

replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy We were there in the spring and it felt perfect. I don’t remember being shocked by the weather, unlike our time at @GrandCanyonNPS ☃️ #ParkChat

@YoseConservancy A7. Is there housing for volunteers there for the summer?
#parkchat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy Winter is a great time to visit most parks. Gear up. #ParkChat
A8. Although the waterfalls weren’t in their full glory, October was fantastic. We were also in the Valley June 2011. The waterfalls were just insane. Suspect similar run off this year. #parkchat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy A8) Mid May when the waterfalls are going nearly full force, the meadows are a vibrant green and the crowds are at home waiting for Memorial Day weekend to begin in a couple weeks. #ParkChat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy A8: Still trying to get there for the first time. 😭 #ParkChat
A8: And in summer you can stop by the Ask a Climber program in El Cap meadow, hang out at Tenaya Lake, enjoy the cool-but-not-too-cold temps in the high country ... #ParkChat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy A8: I would love to see Yosemite in the Fall. The weather, the foliage, lack of people would make it a very fun time for me #ParkChat
replying to @Parkasaur @Parkasaur @RockyNPS @BandelierNPS @VallesCaldera We’ll be here taking notes! #ParkChat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy A8) We went in summer and would probably pick any other season for a return trip just to escape some of the crowds, traffic, etc. #ParkChat
Q9. From ranger walks to kids’ art classes, #Yosemite offers plenty of activities for young visitors. What are your tips for getting kids excited about nature? #ParkChat
#ParkChat friends! Our 2-year-old is obsessed with getting and sending mail. DM if any of you have some extra postcards, photos or anything colorful at all, even just a little note, & want a little junior ranger pen pal to share with. @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute @Stars252525
A8 I've always thought of @YosemiteNPS as a spring park, the REAL beginning of the year #parkchat
replying to @YoseConservancy @YoseConservancy I was surprised to see the Fall Colors in the various grasses in the meadows. #ParkChat
A8. Being in @YosemiteNPS in spring for a late snowstorm presented some challenges, but also made for a stunning setting. #parkchat
