Park Trails

Q10. If you could beam (like in Star Trek) to a trailhead anywhere right now for a hike, what trail would that be and why? #parkchat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10 #parkchat I’m going to assume it’s summer. It’d want to be beamed to the Berg Lake trailhead in Mount Robson Provincial Park, BC. It’s my most favourite trail ever and I haven’t been in 5 years!
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10: Easy. Beam me to the PCT trailhead for an epic thru hike taking me through many National Parks. #ParkChat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10 I've been hankering for the desert lately so maybe one of the @SaguaroNPS trails. #ParkChat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10: Anywhere in the Wasatch Range in summertime, it is just beautiful! #parkchat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10) Well if I could do that then I'm going to make it worth my while to beam for the Mt Fuji trailhead. #ParkChat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10) #parkchat I'd go to @PuuhonuaNPS because I used to live right there above the park and I miss it dearly sometimes, also because I bet it's beautiful right now.
A10 I know it's not one of "our" National Parks, but they say the best day hike in the world is in Tongariro NP, New Zealand. I choose that one. #parkchat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10: Yosemite & Glacier. We didn’t have enough time to explore those parks & I would love for another chance to get back to them. #parkchat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10 #ParkChat I’d beam to the alpine hike at @GreatBasinNPS Didn’t see that coming did you @Wild_Tribute?
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax #parkchat A10 Lamar Valley Trail @YellowstoneNPS of course. My favorite place in the world. 😍And I am guessing about the same amount of snow there right now as in my backyard! LOL
replying to @beckyjlomax
@beckyjlomax A10. Anywhere there isn't snow on the ground. It's still Winter here. I'm tired of heavy packs, changing layers, etc, etc. So maybe the Smokies? Blue Ridge Mtns? Somewhere in the Southwest?

@beckyjlomax Great questions tonight! A10:
Pacific Creat Trail for the whole damn thing because get lost. // I think I just got inspired for the next on the real. Thank you @beckyjlomax and #parkchat !! 👣🌎❤️
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10) We're going for something (really any trail) in National Park of American Samoa, saving us both the airline miles to get there and the hours on the plane! #ParkChat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10) I don't have any names for specific trails, but I would love to be beamed to @EvergladesNPS and walk the steamiest, jungle-like Florida hike with gators and pythons that I could find (the fresh falling APRIL snow out my window may have influenced this answer). #ParkChat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10: Would love to go back to Havasu Falls Hike. (Havasupai) #GrandCanyon . That was an incredible hike. #ParkChat
replying to @beckyjlomax
@beckyjlomax A10 If it has to be a trailhead, then Torres Del Paine National Park in Chile!
However, if it's a Star Trek transporter, I wouldn't go anywhere with a trail or road - I'd beam straight into somewhere super remote and difficult to get to, probably in in the Himalayas. #parkchat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10) That's a question I wonder about almost every day, or week anyway, at the moment it would be cool to hike another part of Grand Gulch, maybe to Turkey Pen Ruin, in the Bears Ears region. #ParkChat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax @Wild_Tribute A10. Right now? It would have to be @DeathValleyNPS for the superbloom. #ParkChat
replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A10: Paro Taktsang, AKA the Tiger's Nest in Bhutan. I've always wanted to see it. #parkchat
