replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks I'm not asking for a video...I'm demanding it! #parkchat

replying to @WildWithinHer @WildWithinHer @59NationalParks I think Don cheats. He probably has a keyboard for his phone. #ParkChat

A2) We prefer #hiking and park trails in the forest, you generally have canopy cover, so it tends to be cooler, and there's a lot to discover, with flora and fauna! #ParkChat

replying to @coasthikergirl @coasthikergirl @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute @GuadalupeMtnsNP Yes, we definitely made a long list! It was mostly a sampling tour to show our boys the SW. And it was a blast! #parkchat

A2. Give us Mountains, give us Canyons, give us anything with sunshine, but we’ll take it all...we’re not picky if outside :) #ParkChat
replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute A1 - Was bummed to not get permits for the Half Dome summit cables - but after a full day from Panorama point to the Valley floor - not sure I would have had the juice left for that climb. #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A2) I like to be near water and am not super picky about what kind. However, if I had to pick, I’d say Rivers > Lakes > Oceans. #parkchat

RT @beckyjlomax: Q3. Share one of your fave short park hikes or strolls that you could repeat again and again? Words or pics are great. #pa…

replying to @unconpeace @unconpeace It takes a secure man to skip down the trail #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute @brian_heyman @59NationalParks @AcadiaNPS We're headed there in July, but I anticipate the falcons being a problem for us, as it was in 2014. Someday we'll get to that hike! #ParkChat

replying to @unconpeace @unconpeace @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute @GuadalupeMtnsNP @CavernsNPS I concur! Good one! #parkchat

RT @beckyjlomax: Q3. Share one of your fave short park hikes or strolls that you could repeat again and again? Words or pics are great. #pa…

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A3 I love wandering around in the geyser basins at @YellowstoneNPS . Such wonders to see. #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax @RCGibby73 @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute Did I mention with temperatures in the triple digits in the inner canyon? I even had time to take a few pictures! #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax
@beckyjlomax A2. Yes.
Oh, I have to choose? All of these are so different than the corn-soybean-bits of brush surroundings of my everyday life. I enjoy trails that take me into relatively undisturbed areas. It's my way of time travel. #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax
@beckyjlomax A2. All of those are great options. I really love forest/mountain/waterfall & pond hikes. Hikes that have all of those in one are the best!
#ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute @GreatSmokyNPS Love those family goals. #ParkChat

replying to @iStefPayne @iStefPayne @beckyjlomax I need to find more canyon hikes. I look at pictures like yours and always ask myself why I haven’t done more of them! #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A2) I choose my hikes around waterways. Unfortunately I am having trouble accessing my photos to share an example of one of the waterfall rewards @GlacierNPS. #ParkChat

replying to @somanyparks @somanyparks That does pose some dilemmas in hiking together! #ParkChat

replying to @HubbardJeff @HubbardJeff @beckyjlomax Devoid of switchbacks, a very valid point! #ParkChat

replying to @kristarsha @kristarsha @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute @GrandCanyonNPS Took my daughters down to first water when they were tiny. My oldest daughter noticed that the people going down were smiling but not the people coming up :-) #parkchat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @beckyjlomax I feel like @mjn126 would have a similar answer. 😊 #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A3) That would be the trail at the Mt Wanda section of @JohnMuirNPS, I've taken numerous times though probably not as much as John Muir himself. #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax @Wild_Tribute A3: Brandywine Falls Trail at @CVNPNPS #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax #parkchat A3 Notch Trail, @badlandsnps, although I may be the only NTF member who thinks so! Haha.

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A3: The East Inlet Trail at Rocky Mountain NP with this Meadow view, Adams Falls and Lakes if you dare hike that far. This is less than a mile in. #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A3 #parkchat I love walking a trail loop at a beach near me. It goes through protected saltwater marsh, a bit through the neighbourhood, past eagle nests, and of course along the water with lovely views of the distance mountains.

A3 Santa Elena Canyon @BigBendNPS - I shout in the US, and my echo responds from Mexico #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax The AT. At least one small bite at a time. Historic, beautiful and social. #ParkChat

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute @GrandCanyonNPS My friend (who’s afraid of heights) stayed at the trail head and snapped this photo not realizing I was in it 🤣🤣🤣 note mule train toward top #ParkChat

replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee @59NationalParks I'm guessing bionic thumbs. #ParkChat

A2. Oceanfront trails are my favorite. A little hard to find for me but the payoff is great. Check out cattus island in #newjersey #parkchat

replying to @iStefPayne @iStefPayne @beckyjlomax @CanyonlandsNPS We are trying to fit it in our summer plans! #ParkChat

A3 The 9.4-mile roundtrip hike on the #AppalachianTrail from Carver's Gap to Grassy Ridge Bald in the Roan Highlands of Tennessee. Absolutely stunning hike with views for miles in all directions. I've done it about a dozen times. #ParkChat

A3 Mrs. Unconditional Peace likes the Salt Creek Trail @DeathValleyNPS to visit the pupfish #parkchat

replying to @Stars252525
@Stars252525 @beckyjlomax @YellowstoneNPS A3) #Parkchat Well, of course I love Ft. Jefferson at @DryTortugasNPS, which is pretty short but always beautiful to see 360 degrees of surrounding blue, green ocean and in the spring time, SO many beautiful birds! Also,
Kīlauea Iki @Volcanoes_NPS

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A3) I thoroughly enjoyed my walk around Bear Lake on my first trip to @RockyNPS. #ParkChat

replying to @BRB513 @BRB513 @beckyjlomax @Wild_Tribute @CVNPNPS That is a great trail! My kids lov d the boardwalks! #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute @ShenandoahNPS They do, but I’m finding a new appreciation for exploring our parks with minimal trail time. #ParkChat
