replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A3. Glacier's Trail of the Cedars and Hidden Lake trails come to mind first--and I'd say that even if you weren't asking the questions. :) #parkchat

@beckyjlomax A4, Just mentioned NY's Avalanche Lake on @RockyTopSkiBum 's A3. Marcy Dam>Avalanche Pass>Lake Colden>Mount Colden & back to the Dam via LM Porter Trail. Possibly the most magical hike in NY. Showstopper the whole way! #ParkChat #ADK

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A3: Muir Woods or Big Basin Redwoods. They're not some epic, high-stakes hiking, but they're more relaxing and intimate. https://t.co/XIH9jZieyI #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax Trail toward Waterlemon Cay at Virgin Island National Park. #ParkChat

replying to @kokuaelli @kokuaelli @beckyjlomax Gates of the Arctic NP would like to have a quick word....;) In all seriousness, there are lots of great hikes in almost all of the parks! That's what makes them great! #ParkChat

replying to @JrRangerTigran @JrRangerTigran @beckyjlomax @CHISNPS Want to see that view one day. Had to pick and choose between Santa Cruz and Anacapa on our first and only trip. #ParkChat

replying to @coasthikergirl @coasthikergirl @MountRainierNPS It was even magical in the fog! Definitely eased my disappointment at not being able to see the mountain #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A4. For me, that morning i did Angel's Landing..that was magical (did it way before social media...) #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax We're following this one closely! This is our second summer with The Man and he's already got a lot of hiking under his belt. But he keeps growing and getting heavier, so we're not sure how long Daddy wants to carry him in the backpack! #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax #ParkChat A5 Going with @Stars252525 and saying the Delicate Arch Viewpt Trail @ArchesNPS. Can still see Delicate Arch but a much shorter, kid-friendly hike!

replying to @kokuaelli @kokuaelli @BryceCanyonNPS Navajo Loop is definitely a magical place. #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax @kokuaelli @BryceCanyonNPS And pretty easy if you get acclimated to the altitude! #ParkChat

replying to @JrRangerTigran @JrRangerTigran @beckyjlomax @CHISNPS Good choice. #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A6 #parkchat I don’t really remember the walks, but my family did a road trip in a small camper through Banff and Jasper National Parks when I was about 8. All of my memories are of good smells, vibrant colours, and lots of smiles.

A6 Favorite hike in my memory is with my family in the Pecos Wilderness in NM. From Panchuela campground up to the Pecos Caves then on to Horsethief Meadow that would be covered with wild irises. #ParkChat ❤

A5. Boardwalks of @CongareeNPS are perfect for kids. Easy on the legs and easy to keep kids out of trouble. #ParkChat

replying to @melissa_sue @melissa_sue @Wild_Tribute @brian_heyman Love it! Rainier in background is beautiful. #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A6: First National Park was Yellowstone! We hiked a trail and when we got back to my buddy's Blue 76 Regal, a buffalo was sleeping against it. We sat across the road for hours, waiting for him to leave! #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A6) #Parkchat I wish I had the photos but since I'm in the middle of moving I don't, I remember Yellowstone, I was 6 and we went into the back country, I had to train with my backpack for weeks before we went! I remember my brother forgot extra socks and cried the entire way.

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A6) We both have different memories, but the key for us, is that the hike made us want to go back for more. And each hike we take in the national parks has the same effect, even as adults. #ParkChat

A6 Mixed into this post about reaching the highest point in Virginia along the #AppalachianTrail is the story of how I was just 10 years old hiking with the family during the first attempt. For later consumption, if you please. #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A6 I don't have a photo bc my mom has them all but I grew up going to the @GreatSmokyNPS and we always hiked Clingman's Dome. It's the highest point in the Park. I was probably 4 the first time I remember. #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A5: most of them are not in NParks but 14'rs were popular #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax #ParkChat A6 waaaay before soc media, but I remember the Dune Climb (it was soooo big) with my parents and best friend when I was about 9 @SleepingBearNPS!

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A4: Mesa Arch. It's like looking through a window and seeing the sheer, awesome power of geologic time and nature. https://t.co/2JkCKbgeo3 #parkchat

replying to @InnerCompass @InnerCompass @59NationalParks @beckyjlomax I do love the trees! #ParkChat

A6 My family vacationed in @CapeCodNPS a lot when I was growing up - don't remember the names of the trails, but I enjoyed walking even more than hanging out on the beach - kind of rare for the young age I was at the time #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax Here we are in Acadia - I forgot what trail we were heading to but I remember Emma was standing and ALMOST took her first steps here, which would have killed @brian_heyman. :) #parkchat

replying to @TPRjerks @TPRjerks @beckyjlomax @RockyTopSkiBum That is one awesome boardwalk along the cliff! Is it over the water there? #ParkChat
replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee @beckyjlomax @Volcanoes_NPS I mean Jason - as close as potential 3rd degree skins burns would allow. 😂 #parkchat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A4 #ParkChat I have to say that my night hike in @OlympicNP was pretty magical. Mountain goats and deer were everywhere, and the weather was amazing.

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A4 #newzealand trails are spectacular! #nz #parkchat

replying to @billbrokob @billbrokob @beckyjlomax Only Lone Peak has the claim of being in a NP, hard to believe! #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax A5: I don't have any kids, but I'd imagine Yosemite is always a good standby. #parkchat
