replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2) For me it is both. I like to see my favorites but maybe not spend as much time at them. Exploring new areas would be the focus. #ParkChat

A2. I “sacrificed” seeing the east sides/sections of Big Bend and Pinnacles in favor of spending more time seeing their west sides. I’ll be working east next time. Then again, there are absolutely hikes I will do each time I go to a certain park. #parkchat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2 Sometimes we think x amount of days is enough, only to find out it was not a long enough stay. I would say a combo of the above plus going somewhere in the park we did not see. #ParkChat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2. #Parkchat I do enjoy revisiting places but equally enjoy something new, it depends on where I'm at in my life and if I'm feeling like I need an adventure or if I want to be nostalgic. Right now, I'm ready for a new adventure!

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2. Usually new hiking trails with a stop or two at previous favorite overlooks #parkchat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2 A little bit of both for me. I usually return to a favorite spot/hike, but I go off in search of new places, too! #ParkChat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2 #parkchat Usually seeing and hiking something new. The first visit always feels so quick and exploratory, just giving us a quick peek at the park.

A2. If traveling with someone who hasn’t been before, always do much of the same highlights, but if returning with no virgins, 100% of the time exploring new #ParkChat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2: Something new. I’ve visited @RockyNPS 3 times and each is a different visit and I still have places there to see. #ParkChat

A2) For me, return visits are about going to my happy/escape place to recharge (@ShenandoahNPS) OR to further my exploration of a park. Even in my recharge place I still like to explore new areas and expand my knowledge of the park. #parkchat https://t.co/E1QtMTseth

#parkchat A2) I feel like there are always so many things left undone, that I have to try something new when I go back to a park! But my husband is very new to visiting parks, so I'll want to visit all the old favorites with him, too!

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2: It's usually all of the above. I try to visit new areas/trails if I can, but sometimes an old favorite is all I need. #ParkChat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2) My annual Mother's Day trip to Yosemite National Park is more about reconnecting & recharge my batteries as much as going for a saunter or two. #ParkChat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2: Usually something new. If not someplace new then a new route, direction, etc. #ParkChat

A2. We spend a fair amount of time at @MountRainierNPS, and for me it's about exploring more of the park, particularly less-visited areas. #ParkChat

A2 Going back to @MountRainierNPS and actually seeing the mountain this time #parkchat

A2 When I return to a favorite #nationalpark my goal is always to do something new because there is always so much more to see and do in our park system.
But I'll return to a favorite overlook for sunset. #ParkChat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2. I like to combine favorite haunts with new experiences. If someone who has never seen the area before is traveling with me, it's even better. I can experience the newness again through his or her eyes. #parkchat

A2 #parkchat I revisit the areas that I can photograph better now with better equipment and skills. Last year, revisiting Steamboat Glacier rewarded me with the longest eruption of the year!

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2 #parkchat This probably depends on where. For instance, I keep going back to some parks in order to show others, in which case I keep visiting the same (awesome) things again and again. If I'm alone, I tend to explore new things and return to a few old favorites.

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2. Even revisiting favorite parks, I’m always finding something new, whether it’s a part I had not been to, new interpretive programs, or just the newness revealed by the changing seasons of the year and the changing seasons of our own lives #ParkChat

A2 @GlacierNPS, part of the return experience is checking out the glaciers. They are physically morphing so rapidly right now that I can note changes between years. #parkchat

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2: combination. We’ve been to Shenandoah many times. we’ve ever done a hike twice yet. Smokies has so many trails too. Other places may have certain hikes I want to share with people. #parkchat

replying to @tthrash
@tthrash @Wild_Tribute A2: depends on the park, but if i'm in yellowstone, you can absolutely find me at artist point.

replying to @tthrash @tthrash A2 i know it’s a cop out but I say 50-50 new stuff and old favorites. Gotta push your exploration as well as celebrate what beings you zen #parkchat
