Q6 A lot of #nationalpark sites have “auto touring routes”, or designated highways for sightseeing within the park. Many of those parks have maps, brochures, books, and even tour guides who will drive your vehicle for you. Which park has the best auto touring routes? #ParkChat

replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee A6: @PetrifiedNPS gets the nod for me of the limited Parks I have driven through. Just a great ride through the Painted Desert, down to wonderful ancient formations. #ParkChat

replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee A6 Well, my first thought is Little Bighorn Battlefield. You can buy guides to help you on your drive, plus the waysides are excellent. #ParkChat

replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee A6) A little different answer but I thought the green bus tour in @DenaliNPS was pretty good. I like that they limit the car traffic in the park. Seems better for the wildlife. #parkchat

A6. So it might not be an auto tour but the drive to @GreatBasinNPS from Delta, UT on the loneliest road in America is one of a kind that can be linked with the Pony Express Auto Tour #ParkChat

@RoadTripsCoffee A6: i'm extremely partial to the drive tours in battlefield parks, like @VicksburgNPS or @LittleBigNPS. so much history, it feels like you're driving back in time.

replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee A6) Might be a bit controversial, but we think @AcadiaNPS has the best "auto touring" via the carriage roads. Not really always by car, but designed and created to be an experience where you move through the park without walking. #ParkChat @AcadiaNPS

replying to @RoadTripsCoffee @RoadTripsCoffee A6) The route through Sunset Crater Volcano and Wupatki National Monuments is quite nice as is the park road in @PetrifiedNPS. Each drive takes you from one world to another. #ParkChat
