replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1: if you asked me this a few years ago, I’d say a lack of cell service is a “wild place,” 😂 but now I’d say it’s more than that. It’s tranquil, and a place you can get lost in your own thoughts. #parkchat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1: For me “wild” is a place foreign to me and where as a human, I am the minority #ParkChat

A1 For me a "wild place" within a national park site means very little human development. No roads, paved hiking trails, or even fences really. #ParkChat

Q2) Bering Land Bridge has no trails, no campgrounds, and 2.7 million acres of vast wild lands. These wild landscapes provide fantastic opportunities for outdoor recreation. What’s your most memorable experience in remote & wild places? #parkchat #wildplaces

replying to @WildWithinHer @WildWithinHer @59NationalParks @Wild_Tribute @highcountrynews Hmm I was tracking planes on an app yesterday and heard one I thought was overhead. The app showed it was 20 miles away. Sound travels fast and in ways we still don’t conceive. Also @TUmarkwoods has a chapter in Lassoing the Sun about noise In Olympic. Might be my fav. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A1 for me, as someone who lives in NYC, escaping the noise of man, cars, city life still qualifies as wild even if it’s not as remote as our most wild spaces. Sometimes that’s really all i can ask for as an urban escape. #parkchat
