replying to @BeringLandNPS @BeringLandNPS A4 #parkchat I was a member of Girl Guides for a dozen years as a child and youth. My leaders introduced me to the outdoors and my friends helped me learn to explore it.

replying to @BeringLandNPS @BeringLandNPS A4: I learned to walk in the @TongassNF, but long after that my dad made it a priority to take us deep into the wilderness as often as we could go. After my parents divorced that meant spending time camping/fishing in @UmatillaNF and other @ForestServiceNW #publiclands. #ParkChat

replying to @BeringLandNPS @BeringLandNPS A7 Yes, there is still a fraction of the population who think it’s a good idea to leave their marks in wilderness…a statement of “I’ve been here.” Like carving names on trees. Totally counter to Leave No Trace. #ParkChat

One of these nights I won’t be totally exhausted or busy and able to partake in #ParkChat.

That’ll probably happen once I’ve submitted my students’ grades and it’s finally summer.

Until then, have some pretty pictures? #FindYourPark
