replying to @t_jh2009 @t_jh2009 @WanderlustJ1 @Shawninthewild What a productive time that was. John Muir took Teddy Roosevelt camping in Yosemite & by the end of his presidency an area as large as Texas had been saved. You probably already know that. #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @ArchesNPS The one at @ArchesNPS has to be the most well known. Where are the others? This is the kind of arcane trivia that fascinates me. #ParkChat #findYourPark #NationalPark #Arches

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @ArchesNPS A9) Like others who have children to keep them balanced I've got Shemp. He'll give me an ear full if I'm away from home for too long while the things that need to be done around the house is another thing that keeps me in check. #ParkChat

Sorry, #parkchat. I gotta duck out a few minutes early. Thank you so much @Shawninthewild @Wild_Tribute & @59NationalParks for a great topic. Now I gotta go get some balance tomorrow here.

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A10 Spring trails here are notoriously wet. Lots of root balancing and rock hopping. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute a10 The rungs on the Precipice trail @AcadiaNPS required some dexterity for sure. #ParkChat

A10. To get to the true summit of Tolmie Peak in @MountRainierNPS, you have to cross a short but steep ridge. I still remember thinking, don't look at the view, wait until you're across. Worth it. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute The Potomac Heritage NST was flooded by the river when I did it with a friend a few months ago. We had to scramble along the cliffs and vines above it. Could see the blazed rocks poking out of the river below. #ParkChat

replying to @WildWithinHer @WildWithinHer @MountRainierNPS Crossing the Knife’s Edge in Goat Rocks Wilderness was definitely an epic steep ridge crossing. I remembering feeling nervous and exhilarated at the same time #parkchat
