Q8 – Share those pro tips, in an life where time is getting harder and harder to find, what are you doing to allocate more to the adventure clock? #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute A8: Its the mountains for me. Just the way that the Rockies front range vaults out of the ground to greet you and carry us up to this crazy mix of wildlife/ruggedness/civilization that just makes sense somehow. #ParkChat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8 #parkchat We schedule a day to go hiking in advance. I’ll often have a list of hikes, including some rainy day ones.

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8 Look close to home. State parks. National forests. We can't always get away for a long trip like we used to do. #ParkChat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8: I only have a limited amount of vacation time, so I have no choice. Retirement will allow for more outdoor time, so that is what I'm focusing on. #ParkChat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8 For the first time in years I'm booking my vacation time in week blocks. If I just rely on weekends I can get rained out too often. #ParkChat

A8. Washington has so much stuff nearby, this isn't a problem. #ParkChat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8. The struggle is real! I guess the best thing I can say is schedule it, plan it, and do it! Even when you can't get out the marker on the calendar and the planning will keep you driving for that goal! Oh, and take to enjoy it when you're there! #ParkChat

A8. The need to prioritize like never before lies ahead for my little family, as we relocate to a brand new place, 1,000 miles away. Allotting adventure time, new friend time, new church time, new school time, helping others time, etc., will be a must-do CHALLENGE!

A8 Day trips. Unfortunately, I live in a place where the time I have off (summer) is the worst time to be outdoors #ParkChat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8 Make the adventure count. Do the ones that really speak to your soul rather than trying to see and experience everything that everyone else says you must do. #ParkChat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8: Adding a day or two to a business trip to an interesting area (or passing thru one) #ParkChat Had to drive to Montgomery so I hiked Walls of Jericho on the way

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8. I have different interests in different seasons. I just try to juggle travel time for all of it. Try not to overdo, say, the ski days or the ballpark days, but just work in as much as I can. #parkchat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8) I'll try to block out occasional weekend road trips to closer destinations to get my fix between bigger journeys, or explore interesting corners of my city. #ParkChat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8: We sold our house, our truck, our furniture and just about everything else we owned to live in our RV and travel. Now every day is an adventure! #parkchat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild A8: Honestly it’s tough and it sometimes comes in waves. You ever stop and think, “When was my/our last adventure?” And then say, “let’s change that right now”! #ParkChat

replying to @Shawninthewild @Shawninthewild a8 - The key is the fight to be "In the Present" When at work - concentrate on work - when with family concentrate on family. When in the great outdoors - soak it all in / minimize your distractions. #ParkChat
