Q2: Is there a particular state park system that you recommend or are partial to? What makes it special? We love @NYstateparks with so much to offer in 180 parks across the state including amazing events. #ParkChat #everybodysnationalparks

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2. I've been quite happy w/ the TX system here. I also buy an annual pass to Michigan, $32/yr for out of state resident or something like that. So much to see and do in both. #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2 Well, most of the state parks I've visited are in Texas and New Mexico. We have some really nice ones in both. #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2 @NYstateparks even has a state artpark! (That's not a furry animal with a long snout that eats ants, BTW). And if you count the state historic sites (including the 1st in the nation) they stand out even more #parkchat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2: I really love the Texas system especially since they now allow for day pass purchases ahead of time and you can now reserve specific sites for camping (pending availability) #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2) I'm partial to both the California & Nevada State Park systems, each are ADA friendly & provide areas for those with ADA needs while I've found the Arizona State Parks to be the opposite. #ParkChat

A2. Well, I'm pretty sold on my home state @WAStatePks! I'm on a quest to visit all of them, 150+. @ORStateParks are also spectacular. Really, you can't go wrong in the PNW! #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2 Oh my! 180 state parks in NY?! Wow. I think Montana, with all its land mass, has less than 50. #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2. I've spent a lot of time in Wisconsin state parks, and I recommend them. They might have one of the more expensive entrance fees, but you get what you pay for, at least up until the last few years. Great trails, views, habitats, facilities, well staffed. #parkchat.

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2: Florida State Parks are our favorite as an overall organization. The have outstanding facilities, are always clean and at most of their camping areas they have coded gates so only those camping there can enter. #parkchat

A2. We spent quite some time in Louisiana last winter and they have some amazing state parks and historic sites. Seemed to be a range of admission fees but hubby qualifies as a senior now so that helps. #parkchat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2 I'm biased to Indiana's. Ohio has more state parks. They're free and tend to be much smaller. Fewer naturalist-led programs in Ohio than in Indiana. Ohio does have many fine state parks, especially Hocking Hills and Hueston Woods. #parkchat

#parkchat A2: I volunteered for CA State parks, so Iā€™m a bit biased, but Angel Island, Old Town San Diego, La Purisima, Columbia, and Julia Pfiffer Burns are all amazing gems!
