Joining in from Canmore, Alberta, Canada on the edge of Peter Lougheed Provincial Park and Banff National Park. #parkchat

replying to @Stars252525 @Stars252525 @59NationalParks @mostateparks @TPWDparks TX is 70. which is a deal! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks A1: admission to @TPWDparks varies but less than $10 per person (not per vehicle) in all I have visited. They do offer an annual pass that gives discounts to camping and Park Store purchases as well as free admission for the whole car. Camping fees depend on amenities #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks Unless you are camping, renting a cabin, lodge room, shelter, or some special program that has a cost, all of the @OhioStateParks I have visited are free to enter! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks #parkchat A1 #southdakota offers an annual at $30 and additional annuals per household at $15. A deal. We always get our 2 in the spring! Since we live next door to @CusterStatePark.

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks A1: @CAStateParks are treasures! There is an annual pass and we have fee free days too! Here's a pic from our mother's day trip to @AhjumawiSP, which is only accessible by boat! #ParkChat

replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @59NationalParks @mostateparks @CusterStatePark Which could definitely be a national park, don't you think? #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax @59NationalParks @mostateparks I often get an annual pass for Montana parks as well since we're neighbours from Alberta. Price isn't too bad that way at all. #parkchat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks A1: Most @NYstateparks charge$6-$10 for day use. fees for amenities (pools, picnic shelter reservations). Cost for camping depends on the park. There are annual passes, Lifetime pass, discounts for military, free weekday entry for 62+, free 4th grade pass. #ParkChat

replying to @Wild_Tribute @Wild_Tribute Doesn’t Utah have an annual pass? #ParkChat

RT @WildWithinHer: @WAStatePks admission is free, but you need a $10 daily parking pass or (much more economical) a $30 annual pass. There…

Q2: Is there a particular state park system that you recommend or are partial to? What makes it special? We love @NYstateparks with so much to offer in 180 parks across the state including amazing events. #ParkChat #everybodysnationalparks

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks A1) In California the State Parks entrance fees vary from free to $10+. There is an annual pass which can be quite expensive it you aren't a frequent park user though there's an ADA discount card too that cuts the fees in half. #ParkChat

replying to @WildWithinHer @WildWithinHer @WAStatePks Lauren isn’t the first 15 minutes of parking free? #ParkChat

replying to @WildWithinHer @WildWithinHer @59NationalParks @mostateparks @CusterStatePark Absolutely! 😍 #parkchat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @59NationalParks @mostateparks @NYstateparks The lifetime pass is pretty dope. We wish the #NPS did that as well. $750, and it doesn't expire until you do. #ParkChat @NYstateparks

replying to @misskimmy13 @misskimmy13 @59NationalParks @mostateparks Haha. You sound like me in reverse. I get annual passes for national parks in eastern BC and Alberta. #parkchat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @WAStatePks Hmm, I'm not sure. Let me see what I can find out. #ParkChat @WAStatePks

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2. I've been quite happy w/ the TX system here. I also buy an annual pass to Michigan, $32/yr for out of state resident or something like that. So much to see and do in both. #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks #parkchat A2 we are partial to #southdakota parks of course, but @PureMichigan has some outstanding ones too! 😁

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks Hi #parkchat ! A1: CT state parks are now free (for CT vehicles) It’s a new policy & I love it!

replying to @mjn126 @mjn126 @Wild_Tribute High fees in California is a surprise? #ParkChat

A1 in Connecticut as a resident you get in free because an extra $10 fee started getting added to everyone's car registration #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2 Well, most of the state parks I've visited are in Texas and New Mexico. We have some really nice ones in both. #ParkChat

A2 We LOVE the folks out in South Dakota. Custer SP is amazing. Floridahas some really great state parks as well, especially down in the Keys. #parkchat

replying to @mjn126 @mjn126 @59NationalParks @mostateparks @TPWDparks I’ll be renewing mine next weekend! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks A1) Based on memory, I think both Wisconsin and Michigan have annual passes around $30 and daytime fees under $10. Not sure about the rest, but I kept my Michigan State Parks book out of the storage unit, so I hope to reconnect with them soon! #ParkChat

replying to @mjn126 @mjn126 @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks Michigan does have some nice state parks #ParkChat

A1. Alberta provincial parks have no day use fees and camping fees start at $5 a night for basic sites. Water, power, etc are added on at the more equipped parks. #parkchat

replying to @publiclandlvr @publiclandlvr @59NationalParks @mostateparks @CAStateParks @AhjumawiSP Very cool #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2 @NYstateparks even has a state artpark! (That's not a furry animal with a long snout that eats ants, BTW). And if you count the state historic sites (including the 1st in the nation) they stand out even more #parkchat

replying to @Todd_the_Hiker @Todd_the_Hiker @mostateparks @OhioStateParks Good deal. #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks FYI - NYS is the only state that I know of that has the same 4th grade free program like the national parks. #ParkChat

replying to @kristarsha @kristarsha @59NationalParks @mostateparks @TPWDparks I definitely just did! Now, my quest to visit ALL of the parks in Texas begins. 12/103 so far. #ParkChat

replying to @misskimmy13 @misskimmy13 @beckyjlomax @59NationalParks @mostateparks Provincial Parks btw, 👍👍👍 #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2: I really love the Texas system especially since they now allow for day pass purchases ahead of time and you can now reserve specific sites for camping (pending availability) #ParkChat

replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @mostateparks @CusterStatePark A must have. #ParkChat

replying to @billbrokob @billbrokob @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks I took them all for granted as a lazy teenager there. #ParkChat

replying to @RCGibby73 @RCGibby73 @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks That new online reservation system is a DREAM COME TRUE. #ParkChat

replying to @WildWithinHer @59NationalParks @WAStatePks Okay, a quick gander at the website doesn't say anything about 15 minutes of free parking. But I should add that the Discover Pass (the annual pass for $30) is good at ALL state-run recreation sites. So includes @WDFW and other agency-run sites. What a deal! #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2) #NY is ours, too! (but then again, we're in-state neighbors!) #ParkChat
