replying to @mjn126 @mjn126 @59NationalParks @mostateparks @TPWDparks That’s an awesome quest! #ParkChat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks You know what, I’m certain they do but I’m not sure the cost nor details @UtahDNR #Shame #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax @59NationalParks @mostateparks I get national park passes for Canada and the U.S. We find them easy and we make good use of them on our road trips. #parkchat

RT @EverybodysNPs: Q2: Is there a particular state park system that you recommend or are partial to? What makes it special? We love @NYstat…

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @mostateparks @NYstateparks So I’d get in free. Yea! #ParkChat

replying to @AmyParulis @AmyParulis It’s definitely a bargain for us (but we avoid Rocky Neck & Hammonasset in the summer - way too busy!) #parkchat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2) I'm partial to both the California & Nevada State Park systems, each are ADA friendly & provide areas for those with ADA needs while I've found the Arizona State Parks to be the opposite. #ParkChat

replying to @kristarsha @kristarsha @mjn126 @59NationalParks @mostateparks @TPWDparks Awesome! #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks #ParkChat I’m a big fan of Nevada State Parks

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2. Definitely a big fan and proponent of our home state @OhioStateParks! But have also enjoyed the beauty of the state parks in our neighboring states! @KYStateParks @VisitIndiana @MiStateParks #ParkChat

A2. Well, I'm pretty sold on my home state @WAStatePks! I'm on a quest to visit all of them, 150+. @ORStateParks are also spectacular. Really, you can't go wrong in the PNW! #ParkChat

Q3: Every state has its own state park system. Can you share a must-see or must do from your state’s parks? (Photos appreciated) #ParkChat #everybodysnationalparks

replying to @naturetechfam @naturetechfam @59NationalParks @mostateparks @CusterStatePark Never am I more conflicted emotionally than when somebody gives me a great deal on something that should be free🙄 #parkchat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks I favor @mostateparks 59 parks, many historical sites and admission is always free. #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2 Oh my! 180 state parks in NY?! Wow. I think Montana, with all its land mass, has less than 50. #ParkChat

RT @EverybodysNPs: Q2: Is there a particular state park system that you recommend or are partial to? What makes it special? We love @NYstat…

replying to @WildWithinHer @WildWithinHer @WAStatePks @ORStateParks I am going to to need to infuse my trips to the PNW with stays at the state parks! #ParkChat

Today at Hammonasset Beach State Park. So nice to not have to pay to get in as a resident. Happy to pay extra on our car registration knowing our CT State Parks will get the money #ParkChat

replying to @mjn126 @mjn126 @WAStatePks @ORStateParks You definitely should. You can rent cabins, teepees, yurts, even lighthouses! #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2. I've spent a lot of time in Wisconsin state parks, and I recommend them. They might have one of the more expensive entrance fees, but you get what you pay for, at least up until the last few years. Great trails, views, habitats, facilities, well staffed. #parkchat.

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks Bear Mountain? #parkchat

replying to @59NationalParks @59NationalParks @mostateparks A1 - Most Florida State Parks are between $3 & $8. @WeekiWacheeSpgs & Homosassa Springs are $13 because one has mermaids & the other has a hippo 😁 You can get a yearly pass & they have a passport book you get stamped at each park to keep track of where you’ve been. #ParkChat

replying to @Todd_the_Hiker @Todd_the_Hiker @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks @OhioStateParks @KYStateParks @VisitIndiana @MiStateParks Right there with you Todd! Ohio in particular has some striking beauty. #ParkChat

replying to @mjn126 @mjn126 @kristarsha @59NationalParks @mostateparks @TPWDparks I'm at 9/150+ here in WA! #ParkChat

replying to @beckyjlomax @beckyjlomax @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks Indeed! It's one of the largest state park systems in all of the USA. #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2: Our @CAStateParks are so diverse, ranging from rugged natural beauty to places of historical significance. And the interpretation is always meaningful. #ParkChat

A3 I highly recommend Caprock Canyons SP by Quitaque #Texas. Beautiful red rocks and bison. #ParkChat

replying to @ParksandPoints @ParksandPoints @beckyjlomax @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks If NY doesn’t hold the crown, which state does? #ParkChat

replying to @unconpeace @unconpeace @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks Yep! From the Perkins tower. #ParkChat

A3 #ParkChat: Not many realize IL has a few gorgeous small canyons. Starved Rock SP is the most popular, but its neighbor Matthiessen SP is perhaps a little better, and hardly used. It's unfortunately not cared for very well though.

A3 Hurd State Park, CT was quite beautiful the other day. Hiking along the Connecticut River #ParkChat

replying to @coasthikergirl @coasthikergirl Oh way cool. Congrats on getting a permit for there. My last backpacking trip there was way before the permit system had to be instituted. Enjoy your adventure. So gorgeous there. #ParkChat

replying to @WildWithinHer @WildWithinHer @WAStatePks @ORStateParks Read Lauren’s blogs about her State Park quest. Fantastic. #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2) I'll predictably say MEE-CHEE-GHAN of course! @MiStateParks include beauties like Mackinac Island, Kitch-iti-Kipi, Fayette (pictured here) and so many more! #ParkChat

replying to @Stars252525 @Stars252525 This is my recommendation as well (pending further exploration). Such a gorgeous Park #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs @NYstateparks A2: Florida State Parks are our favorite as an overall organization. The have outstanding facilities, are always clean and at most of their camping areas they have coded gates so only those camping there can enter. #parkchat

A3 Besides the obvious (Niagara Falls), everyone must do the Hudson River School art trail in the Catskills, especially with a guide who knows a lot about American landscape painting😉 #ParkChat

Q3 Cloudland Canyon is a must visit for Georgia. Amazing views, especially in the Fall. #parkchat

replying to @mjn126 @mjn126 @kristarsha @59NationalParks @mostateparks @TPWDparks I’ve got 11 under my belt right now. #ParkChat

replying to @EverybodysNPs @EverybodysNPs A3) On a clear day if you go to the summit in Mt Diablo State Park there's a chance you'll be able to see Half Dome in Yosemite National Park since the vista views from there are supposedly the best in the country. #ParkChat
