A3. It does and it doesn't. Much has been made of the so-called "vote" about where to winter. The expedition included a slave, an Indian woman, French trappers and traders, and so forth. It was of its time, I think. #ParkChat

replying to @LewisClarkTrail @LewisClarkTrail A3) I'm not quite sure how diverse was though it may have reflected America at that time. Whereas I that the de Anza Exposition included people from European, African & Native American ancestry. #ParkChat

replying to @LewisClarkTrail @LewisClarkTrail A3. Well, the obvious answer is that it included a woman, a Native American, a black man. But, it was also made up of men who were educated, and those who were not; with military experience, and with none. #parkchat

A3 There was no artist on the expedition! That was quite an oversight! Not enough right-brained people! #ParkChat

A3. I think diversity changes over time and we see more folks from different areas of the world these days. I think it reflected the people who were in America at the tie fairly well. #parkchat
