Q5: #ParkChat As the Official Bison Herd of the state of Texas, do you think visitors recognize the herd as a unique resource? What can we do to help visitors further appreciate both the scientific and cultural importance of the Texas State Bison Herd?

A5 I believe people recognize that the herd is unique to the area. Always more education and perhaps a little more publicity. Perhaps a twitter account for the park? I wonder if there could be an exhibit at the Ranching Heritage Center someday. #ParkChat

Website articles, newspaper articles, social media are great ways to reach today's public with important info as well. Don't hide your history!

A5. I don't know, but I'll bet some folks are surprised to find bison in Texas. Education and outreach are great, and we need solid policies promoting and funding preservation and research of bison. #ParkChat
