A3. By marketing Scotland’s world-class scenery and by not spoiling it - bulldozed hilltracks, windfarms and hydro schemes encroaching into areas of wild land and other areas of exceptional beauty. Pic from beautiful Glen Etive. #ScotlandHour
replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour @Proudfoot @lomondtrossachs @OSleisure Now this sounds amazing and definitely something I would love to do one day. I've stayed in Bridge of Orchy and stunning up there. Photo looking into Glen Etive 😀❤️🏴 #Scotlandhour #getoutside

A3 Walking tourism is the cheapest way if not a free way to travel and it can be done by anyone anytime. That's the best part of it! 👍
I'm a big fan of short walk trails with a big views. On #IsleOfSkye you'll find plenty of such a walks https://t.co/E5kYIj8p2a #ScotlandHour

replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour A1 Actually I would also highly recommend some of our amazing costal walks, such as the @JohnMuirTrust way which is such a wonderful way to take in the Scottish countryside and seaside #Scotlandhour
I live on the Fife Coastal Path and often act as an unofficial tourist info office. Better signage and leaflets/maps would be very helpful. #scotlandhour #eastneuk

Signposting is everything! I’ve meandered on some routes and it’s been a bit of guess work where to go next – sometimes the results can be quite exciting, though!

replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour A3 We spend a lot of time in self-catering accommodation and most always have some walks available for guests to review and try. A3 I think Walking Tourism is pretty much mainstream, many people on the hills and long distance walks to be done as well, Pilgirm Way just opened in #Fife! #scotlandhour
A3 #Scotlandhour Walking is the primary mode of transport for Leithers, so get like a blue-footed booby bird and get a shuffle around the sights. You'll see more!
replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour A3. Promote the health benefits, spectacular sights, sustainability and responsible behaviour e.g. leave only footsteps, never feed wild deer, go equipped and make sure accommodation providers share this info. 🏴👌 #ScotlandHour #ScotlandIsNow @VisitScotland @walkhighlands

A3 - This sound a little bit too much like hard work for me! I’ve walked lots of short walks which, when added together, make a long-distance walk! Orlando loves exploring #Scotland almost as much as I do, although he mainly loves collecting giant twigs!
