A2. How could we possibly choose? Scotland’s history is full of fascinating stories, many of which are kept alive at our sites! The stunning Threave Castle was as much witness to the Black Douglases as the glorious Skara Brae was the heart of Neolithic life #Scotlandhour

A2 Our favourite 'part' of Scotland's history is stories about its people. The stories of resilience, compassion and community spirit...as apt today as it's always been #ScotlandHour #CommunitySpirit

A2. Over the centuries, #MaryKingsClose would have been home to up to 700 people at any one time. The stories of the residents who lived, worked and died here will forever be our favourite part of #Scottish history! #Modest #RealEdinburghStories #ScotlandHour

A2. St Margaret's Chapel was built by King David I and he dedicated it to his mother, Queen Margaret. She was said to have performed many acts of charity and was canonised by Pope Innocent IV in 1250. It is the oldest building in the castle and the city. #ScotlandHour

A2: We might be biased, but we would go for the reign of the Stewarts as James V built us this glorious Palace! #ScotlandHour
