A1. I'd pick the most local craft beer that pub serves to support local business. And because I always try to sample new ones whenever I am in Scotland.

Or I'd treat myself to an 18yr, or older, Scotch. Because: 2020. #ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour

A1 sipping on a dram of @LagavulinWhisky beside a warm peat fire. The rich, smooth, smoky flavours transport us to the banks where the King of Malts is created. A little bit of luxury much needed as the nights draw in & we raise a toast to what 2020 should've been #ScotlandHour🥃

A1: With so much choice across Midlothian and the Borders, we’d try everything (and then some).

If you’re looking to try local gins, we’d recommend Selkirk Distillers, Old Curiosity, Lilliard’s Gin, Kelso Gin Co, 1881 Gin, Kerr's Gin and of course Rule Gin #ScotlandHour

A1: And if you prefer locally brewed beer, how about Stewart Brewing, Born in the Borders, Tempest Brewing, Freewheeling Brew Co, the Broughton Brewery, Traquair Ale or Cross Borders Brewing Co?

With so much choice, you're bound to find your new favourite tipple! #ScotlandHour

A1 do enjoy a pint of @TennentsLager when out at the pub, especially on a hot day, a real thirst quenched! #ScotlandHour

A1. Hard to choose! Probably a gin of some kind from REDS directory members Badvo or Pentone. Because we think you can’t beat Scottish gin! #ScotlandHour

When whisky taxes were introduced, illicit stills sprang up across Scotland and over 1,000 were seized from the Highlands in 1782 alone 🥃

The remains can still be found, but they're hard to spot (for obvious reasons): https://t.co/pcFwTEoVD7

A2: Different foods suit different drinks but chocolate goes with almost everything. How about picking up some treats from Cocoa Black in Peebles 😋 #ScotlandHour

A2. We love the combination of Dalwhinnie whisky—probably the one with the gorgeous label designed by REDS directory member Jules Akel—with artisan chocolates from Taystful, yet another amazing directory member at https://t.co/e2NW1tGvQw. #ScotlandHour

A2 Gin & Scottish seafood with a little spicy kick is a stunning combination. For that little bit of sharpness, use a smidgen of lemon juice on the fish. Gin also pairs well with cheese especially strong-flavored varieties that hold their own against the gin. #ScotlandHour 🧀🍸🦞

A2: And for something a bit more unusual, Selkirk Distillers' Bannock Gin pairs perfectly with its namesake #ScotlandHour

replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour My favourite pairing at the moment is @Laphroaig 15 year old with @HighlandChoc chocolates 🍫 so amazing and pairs beautifully but. @ardnahoe and @Kilchomanwhisky both have fabulous malt and Scottish produce pairings which I can’t wait to try 🥰🥃🥰 #ScotlandHour

A3. Johnnie Walker Blue Label. At a party in 🇲🇽 I think? It was good but didn't make me fall in ❤️ with whisky. My 1st visit to Scotland, tasting single-malt Scotch is what made me a fan. Eventually I found I like the smoky or peaty single-malt best. #ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour
