@ScotlandHour Of course we are drinking an Islay malt, a @Bunnahabhain perhaps, or a @Kilchomanwhisky , because we are missing our favourite island.
#ScotlandHour
A2 #scotlandhour. As a Glaswegian it has to be a curry and a pint of lager. Great curry houses to choose from but definitely #stmungo from @Westbeer. On Islay @islaywhiskybar curry night with @IslayAles #bigstrand
Oh my this is the ultimate pairing šš Was thinking about a visit to @HighlandChoc soon. Now just to get hold of a @Laphroaig 15 YO #ScotlandHour https://t.co/OJPvhNOZcP
replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour Hendrickās Gin and just about anything. Ok, except my motherās clootie dumpling, because that calls for something very different. #scotlandhour
replying to @KirstenAlana
@KirstenAlana I think I agree with you! Plus we might still have a bottle of Old Pulteney left.
We're just down the road from the distillery, and can sometimes smell the delicious malt.

Q3. What was the first whisky you ever tried and what did you think and have your impressions changed since? #scotlandhour
Q3. What was the first whisky you ever tried and what did you think and have your impressions changed since? #scotlandhour
#ScotlandHour A3: The first whisky I tried was @Laphroaig. Didn't really know what to make of it! Now I love it (possibly a bit too much) and really enjoy geeking out about the nuanced flavours :)
A3. Johnnie Walker Blue Label. At a party in š²š½ I think? It was good but didn't make me fall in ā¤ļø with whisky. My 1st visit to Scotland, tasting single-malt Scotch is what made me a fan. Eventually I found I like the smoky or peaty single-malt best. #ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour
A2: The best Scottish food and drink from the Isle of Jura has to be a glass of Lussa Gin with a venison pie. We have 6000 red deer on the island who are partial to the local juniper, so weāre just putting them together! @scotlandhour #scotlandhour #gin #jura
A3 Absolutely one for #TeamIslayandJura this time! The first ever whisky I tried was @jurawhisky and have to say I've never looked back! Love trying new ones too and as mentioned earlier, we've got quite a few here in Argyll! š„ #ScotlandHour

A3. Our Whisky Club reviewer mused on this recently. His 1st was Glenfiddich 12yr old, graduating to heavily peated whiskies & now to more complex and sophisticated drams such as the new Strathearn single malt, which he reviews in our latest issue, out tomorrow. #ScotlandHour

A3 I think my first whisky was Highland Park. It used to be our favourite whisky until we tried Old Pulteney!
It never ceases to amaze me how whisky can absorb the smells and tastes of the air it was created in.

A3 The first whisky I ever tried was @bowmore 12yo. First impressions were that it was firey but much like the long maturation process, it took me time to appreciate it. Enjoying the flavours found across the regions even in a single glass with a few drops of water #scotlandhour
replying to @KirstenAlana @KirstenAlana Yes, just about! š There might have been a bit of friendly boasting going on there too! š #ScotlandHour
So so so so many great drinks getting talked about tonight on #scotlandhour - just what was called for as it is a tricky time for us all!
Keep safe and stay well everyone!

replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour A3. Lost in the mists of time unfortunately, although highly likely it was a well aged blend...safe to say it probably wasnāt peaty, as would be of choice today š #ScotlandHour
A3: @The_Macallan was the first #whisky I ever had. That was well over 30 years ago. Iāve had many whiskies since then - possibly too many - but a Macallan remains a welcome friend.
