Hello! I’m Fiona from Livingston and I make needle felted animals - these wee sheep are made from sheepskin from Skye and North Ronaldsay wool from Orkney #ScotlandHour
A3: walking the #WestHighlandWay is the ultimate form of active travel! Pls also use public transport at start / end & #leavenotrace en route. #RespectProtectEnjoy #ScotlandHour

A3 travelling by public transport where possible. Supporting local communities staying in local B&Bs or guesthouses or camping. Instead of bringing supplies shopping local once there #ScotlandHour #IsleBeBack

A3 Oh god it's greenery. I know this makes me an objectively bad person but I just can't do trains they make me so miserable. So many people. So little tin can. But I only have a little car and it's a hybrid and my heating is only at 18.5 honest. #scotlandhour
A3. I will take the ferry this time. Avoids flying. And I will definitely take some train trips for relaxed viewing. And a lot of walking tours so I can enjoy afternoon tea. #Scotlandhour
replying to @kirstyinnesPR @kirstyinnesPR @ScotlandHour I'm in to a scooter! The look fun. ^Sharon #ScotlandHour
replying to @KirstenAlana @KirstenAlana My special memory of Skye is this bracelet crafted by an artisan there who, along with his wife quickly became dear friends. #scotlandhour
replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour A3. I don’t drive and rely on public transport so my carbon footprint perhaps isn’t the largest, but I’m still in take-out mode due to the pandemic so I could probably do more to address my reliance on plastic packaging. #ScotlandHour
A3 I remain unconvinced the ferries are better for the environment than flying, but they're certainly more fun. So I can endeavour to take many extra ferry journeys if that helps (it definitely doesn't help). #scotlandhour
A4: All of them. One of beauties of Scotland for me is the sheer diversity & strength in depth. You can enjoy activity, foodie & urban in one day as I have today in & around Dumfries. And then there’s Burns, Barrie, river walks . . . #scotlandhour @HereScotland @TravWriters 🏴
#ScotlandHour A2: My mantra for better & more responsible travel in 2022 is slower travel = better travel.
Resist the urge to check all the boxes. Pick a few places and really spend time in them.
This really sunk for me over 4 days in Kildonan, Arran.

A4: A road trip to Glencoe. There’s a fabulous inn there and the views are spectacular. #ScotlandHour

A4: Does friendship tour count? While I always explore the sights Scotland has to offer a highlight of each of my trips has been meeting and making new friends, often with folk first met here on #Scotlandhour
A4: walking a #longdistancetrail wd be a fantastic active holiday in 2022 (i.e. the WHW - although other trails are available!😁) You get to see stunning parts of Scotland 🏴- & improve your physical & mental health. #ScotlandHour
replying to @ScotlandHour @ScotlandHour Yeah, definitely, and there was a period where reusable cups weren’t being accepted anyway. Besides, I’m a sucker for a colourful coffee cup! #ScotlandHour
A4. In 2021we had a magical day when a local resident of Scarp took us over to and showed us around and gave us the best hospitality. @Lovethisland_ and I had the best day. I think it was a one off but that sort of hospitality makes a Scottish holiday. #Scotlandhour
