A7: Ask the locals- they always know where the hidden gems can be found. Better, yet, take a street food tour like this one with @streatytours on our last @MSCCruisesUSA voyage šŸ

A7. The best way to find out about local cuisine, beer, wine, or spirits in Europe include getting out of the tourist zones and finding places with no English menus. That's where you'll find the authentic local experiences.

A7. ASK THE LOCALS - your taxi driver, hotel maid, construction workers not the concierge. Locals know the off the beaten path places #TBINChat #travel

A7. For a fun way to discover wines, do a road trip through a wine region. We drove part of France's Route du Vin last year and found some lovely little wine shops. #TBINChat

A7: DM travel bloggers you follow, the concierge at your hotel, the valets (sometimes they are a great resource), taxi drivers, locals, & of course @TripAdvisor

A7 Sometimes the best way to find out is to ask the locals or check out where the local lineups are! 😊 #TBINchat

A7. Ask people in your hotel where THEY eat (not what they recommend, but where they personally go). Works like a charm. Here we are in Vienna: https://t.co/3Yz50jyDwk #TBINChat

A7. We find good food the usual way - ask friends and fellow travelers, do a little research, and talk to locals. We always like to try the local wine, too (this one in Italy). #TBINChat

A7: I don't drink alcohol and I usually just stop at nearby restaurant when I'm hungry, so I don't have any great tips on finding local cuisine. Sometimes locals will recommend a place and I'll look for that, but otherwise, I'm a terrible foodie. haha. @Lon_Unattached #TBINChat

A7: While exploring a new city, pay attention to where the locals are dining in the neighborhoods away from the tourist crowds. Don't be afraid to just walk in and try a new place.

A7: We recommend sampling AmaWaterways locally-sourced cuisine and regional wines on board to fully immerse yourself in the culture of each destination. For example, savor goulash while cruising through Hungary and Camembert cheese while sailing the Seine. #TBINChat

A7. Ask a shopkeeper, cab driver, or any local. It's the first thing we do when we land. You'd be surprised how informative your cab driver can be. We typically luck out and get a foodie! We almost went to lunch with one in NYC! @Lon_Unattached #TBINChat

A7: Um… eat, drink, and be merry? Actually, my suggestion is to treat yourself to one touristy meal out, then ask local shopkeepers where they like to go. Taxi drivers sometimes get kickbacks, as do hotel employees, but shopkeepers… not likely. #TBINChat

A7 Choosing the right place to eat is the best way to find local drinks. If you eat in tourist restaurants you are unlikely to get local drinks. I seek out places away from the tourist hordes and check out the wine list before I go in. Then I ask what's local and good #TBINChat

A7. The best way to get under the skin of a place & get real tips is always to chat to a local.
I met a local girl in Paris last week who turned out to work at the @CentrePompidou - now you cannot get more authentic than that! Got some great info from her about art! #TBINChat
