#TRLT A1: my house was built in 1898. I don't know if that classifies as ancient LOL but it's all relative!

No I'm not posting a pic of it. But here are some from a similar period, in nearby Creswell. More about that town later ...

A1: Well I'm an American so anything that's over 50 years old seems ancient to me, but nothing breaks my heart more than seeing an old or historic place fall into ruin. 📸- Borobudur, Indonesia @carornocar #TRLT

replying to @GoGreenGatsby @GoGreenGatsby @HarpersFerryNPS indeed, it's a good call. "Ancient" can simply mean "from generations now lost to history". Maybe there's a distinction between "ancient" and "important" but that's not for tonight :p #TRLT

AGAIN: Q1: What does "ancient" mean to you? How old does a building or place have to be before it is considered important enough to be “protected”. Share a photo of your favourite Ancient Place! via @carornocar #TRLT

A1: Well as an Aussie, I think anything older than a hundred years is ancient haha. Spins me out going to Europe and finding people living in 'normal' houses that are 500yrs old.
I'm a fan of Peru's Sacsayhuaman ruins that even includes an ancient slide for worker's kids! #trlt

replying to @kukkulalta @kukkulalta What I like about the Romans and the Greeks is that they knew how to build. #TRLT There's surprisingly a lot left from that period - and one of the reasons there isn't more isn't because they fell down, more because ppl nicked bits of them afterwards!
