A1 I'm not a native Floridian, but I've gone through nearly 7 major hurricanes in the last decade. They are no joke. It is best to be prepared with plenty of water + generator. No pictures bc we were boarded up. via @IamVagabond #TRLT #travel #Weather

A1: Easily the most terrifying Extreme Weather experience was taking a ferry in the Solomon Islands. The fierce wind and swells were so bad that people screamed at times because it felt like we would capsize. My least favourite travel moment ever. #TRLT

A1. I was in Ocean City #Maryland, in an apartment right on a marina, during #Hurricane #SuperStormSandy. Luckily #OCMD only got the edges, with the worst impacts happening to the north in Jersey and #NYC.

A1. Quite terrifying was a heavy storm in Greenland when I was travelling by boat from Disko island to Aasiaat/Egedesminde and the boats were like toys in the storm. It was difficult to make pics or movies because of the heavy shaking.

A1 A rare 'haboob' (dust storm) blew through Eastern #Washington. We were encompassed in dust, travelling on our motorcycle. We couldn't see the Illuminated hotel sign right across the road, it was extremely scary to cross the highway. #TRLT https://t.co/CSz35vUGjS @iamvagabond

#TRLT A1: Our scariest weather experience was spent hiding from a tornado. Being in an RV we spent the night parked in a carwash hoping it would protect us from wind, flying debris & hail damage. It touched down a few miles from us and claimed lives. Didn't sleep that night.

#TRLT via @BradtGuides A1: The main weather hazard all year in #Iceland is the wind, which can make riding extremely dangerous. One day, @WheresAndrew experienced such strong and gusty windy conditions that he aborted his ride and laid up for the day. https://t.co/uCI1wD986E

A1 #trlt Washington DC, September 2001. We knew there were going to be thunderstorms that day. What we didn't know is we would be witness to the worst tornado outbreak that area had seen in 75 years. Scary day and I wish I had those odds buying a lottery ticket.

A1. This is @TravelGigolo saying "we're optimistic" abt a massive lightning storm about to roll into the Magalies mountains. It was not a good situation & the lightning was abt to be right on top of us. My brother & his son were new to camping & in a very flimsy tent too!

#TRLT @AdventurePretty A1: Always make the best of what you experience. When it pours and your tent ends up in the middle of a stream, laugh because your son slept through it on the one dry spot while mom and dad ditched their clothes and streaked.
