Extreme Weather
TRLT
replying to @LadiesWTravel @LadiesWTravel š A volcano! That's as extreme as it gets. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A3. I had to spend a few extra days in London last year, which I wouldnāt normally have minded only Iād sprained my ankle playing silly buggers in the snow. #TRLT
RT @DoroLef: @ItIsAGrapeLife Exactly, these kind of things happen, I canāt report on any big disasters. #trlt
replying to @DoroLef @DoroLef @CaitlinKellyNYC @ActivatedAdven1 @AdventurePretty Wow, never saw anything like this before #trlt
replying to @loyaltytravels @loyaltytravels I had already visited Bermuda on a previous cruise, so this was a welcome change. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel On of our fantastic @OhioStateParks, Caesar Creek SP, just twenty minutes from home and a great place to hike all year 'round! #TRLT
replying to @CourseCharted @CourseCharted The first one was exciting, the 2nd still interesting and the third I just lifted my head from my pillow waiting to see if it got any worse and I'd be forced to get out of bed, lol #trlt
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @ItIsAGrapeLife @AdventurePretty I so agree! #TRLT
replying to @AdventurePretty @AdventurePretty @Vacations_w_mom @TheTravelCamel šš This was pretty awful. Probably the warmest Iāve ever experienced #TRLT
replying to @jozifoodwhore @jozifoodwhore @FunInFairfax @TheTravelCamel I mean. did you give specifics as to how you wanted it or up@for interpretation! #trlt
replying to @ActivatedAdven1 @ActivatedAdven1 A4 #TRLT Well, it never really crossed my mind Washington DC could have midwest weather.
replying to @NewYorkHabitat
@NewYorkHabitat @LadiesWTravel Iāve had a few #volcano interruptions here in #Ecuador, but so long ago now I donāt have any of the pictures digitalized. It can be exciting and scary at the same time.
#TRLT
replying to @Travel_boomer @Travel_boomer @AngelaMDiLoreto @iamvagabond We've were caught in a tornado driving there, we had to stop under a bridge and hope for the best. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A3 I live in Canada. my first time skiing in the mountains, we stayed up at the resort and then had 2 feet of snow fall. Other people couldn't get up the mountain. We had the fresh powder all to ourselves instead of having to pack up and go. #BESTDAYEVER #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel Yup; it happens my bus was delayed as someone put too much paper in the toilet just last week. So things happen. #TRLT
replying to @Todd_the_Hiker @Todd_the_Hiker @TheTravelCamel Such a sweet pic! #trlt
replying to @pip_says @pip_says @TheTravelCamel @iamvagabond Itās about as extreme as it gets in these parts ā though it did hit 20āC in Aboyne last week! #TRLT
RT @GoGreenGatsby: @LindaPeters64 Thanks! The #weather cleared up quickly as it does in the #Andes, but it surely was an impressive show wā¦

replying to @LadiesWTravel @LadiesWTravel I felt so sorry for all the newsreaders #trlt Eyjafjallajƶkull.
replying to @ActivatedAdven1 @ActivatedAdven1 A4: Again, maybe not extreme --- but much hotter summers in places w/o air conditioning make me rethink where to go. In Montreal recently, there was so much unsanded/unsalted ice that walking anywhere was really dangerous. Crazy. #trlt
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A3 got lucky on this flight above @theouterbanks #obxnow because it was rainy earlier. #travel #TRLT
replying to @DonNadeau @DonNadeau @NewYorkHabitat @TheTravelCamel @iamvagabond Yes -- I think Montreal's underground is even more extensive than Toronto's. But with Montreal's winters, they REALLY need it #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel It really did, essentially shut the skies for a week or so if I remember rightly. #TRLT
replying to @Wandelgek @Wandelgek @CaitlinKellyNYC @ActivatedAdven1 @AdventurePretty Me neither. Iām stunned. #trlt
replying to @Travel_boomer @Travel_boomer @TheTravelCamel @iamvagabond That makes a lot of sense in a place like Toronto. We can imagine it can get pretty cold for various months of the year. #TRLT
replying to @ItIsAGrapeLife @ItIsAGrapeLife @T_W_O I like to try new creations each time we travel to Ottawa. #TRLT
A3 again: We had to change our route from Dawson City to Fairbanks once, because of fires burning on the Top of the World Highway. That meant a huge detour back to Whitehorse & all the way up to Fairbanks on the Alaska Highway. #trlt
replying to @loyaltytravels @loyaltytravels There are many replies I could make to this bus story - but good taste prevents me from writing anything ;-) #TRLT
replying to @wheresshellyii @wheresshellyii Earthquakes are no joke. I was in an 7.0 one in Japan in 2005. I wish I took more photos but I was anti photo at that time. Huge sinkholes, building damage etc. thankfully no tsunami. #trlt
A4: Since seeing Twister, I've always wanted to visit Tornado Alley in the US to go chase some. but I'm a weirdo #trlt

replying to @NewYorkHabitat @NewYorkHabitat @TheTravelCamel I shot this picture in Uluru. More than 40 celsius degrees, it was in December 2014. #TRLT
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @TheTravelCamel @Touchse @pip_says And to you in Metro! Hope the storm clouds pass. #TRLT
RT @TheTravelCamel: Q4: How has Extreme Weather changed your perspective of a destination? Share a photo! #TRLT
A4. We had to drive through a hectic sandstorm on the way to Walvis Bay/Swakopmund. At times, the road was covered in sand and visibility was poor. We had romantic notions of possibly buying a holiday home in Swakopmund but this changed our minds!
#TRLT
replying to @DoroLef @DoroLef @CaitlinKellyNYC @ActivatedAdven1 @AdventurePretty Nope, we don't need them, we've adapted to these temperatures - or we'd be too proud to wear them, I think. haha! #TRLT
replying to @ramblRramblR @ramblRramblR yeah big earthquakes would be completely different, but the smaller aftershocks were a cool experience #trlt
replying to @NewYorkHabitat @NewYorkHabitat @TheTravelCamel @iamvagabond Frankly, Toronto usually doesn't have a very severe winter. Some years it barely snows. This year is an anomaly #TRLT
replying to @ItIsAGrapeLife @ItIsAGrapeLife @LindaPeters64 @AdventurePretty Absolutely! š #TRLT
A4. I crossed the #AtlanticOcean with @greenpeace during height of storm season. We hit the tailings of four #hurricane and were trapped inside the ship for days. It changed my perspective of #highseas a bit, an amazing #ocean #wilderness, but also dangerous & isolating
#TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @FunInFairfax #trlt a4 Without irrigation our surrounding region is essentially a desert with only about 8 annual inches of rain. During the heat of summer you want to plan your hikes of the valley early in the morning or early in the evening to avoid the summer sun.
