replying to @Wandelgek @Wandelgek @TravelGigolo Once the sandstorms hit...boom. We also had a sandstorm hit us at our campsite in the Kgalagadi (Twee Rivieren) but we saw it coming and started battening down the hatches, so to speak. However, we neglected to take pics/video.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel #trlt a5 take advantage of mornings and evenings. The sun is up early, get out there at 5 or 6am before the heat builds up, then rest during the day and head back out in the evening when the sun has set. I hit the trails around us before the sun is up - where good reflectors!

replying to @DoroLef @DoroLef @iamvagabond We stayed overnight, it was late afternoon and we were encrusted with dust. We walked up the hotel stairs in full gear, since I was worried about getting stuck in the elevator. It took hours to get us and our things clean. #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @T_W_O @Travel_boomer @AngelaMDiLoreto @iamvagabond To flee Venzuela after the landslides I had to travel to the airport by bus and taxi along a 6 or 8 lane highway that was now a lake of filthy water, so deep the back of the cab started filling up.
