High Places
TRLT
A3: Speaking of high places, Anna would love to climb Nyiragongo in the #DRC later this year. Has anyone done it? We'd love to hear your tips! #TRLT
A3 Not nearly as impressive elevation-wise as the better traveled folks here, but Giant Mountain in NY's Adirondacks had a breathtaking view from the summit #trlt
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool A3) At over 10,000' above sea level Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park is the highest highway I've driven on in the United States. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool A3. I’m going to say the summit of Mount Kosciuszk. Man I peaked young. #TRLT
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @CharlesMcCool Dead woman’s pass on the Inca Trail - 13,800ft/4,215m above sea level. No oxygen required but moved very slowly! #TRLT
replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @CharlesMcCool A3 Probably Cusco. Can’t think of another. There are lots of Coca products to help with the altitude. Luckily I just felt a bit tired. One lady in our group got terribly ill. #trlt

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @JR_justJR @RoarLoudTravel A2 Not all that high by mountain standards, but Mt. Nimba in West Africa is the highest point in three countries at once! It's right where Liberia, Guinea, and Ivory Coast meet. Three-in-one! Here's a pic from near the top. #TRLT
A3: One of thee highest points above sea level, that I have been, was Mount Roberts or Roberts Peak; a 3,819 foot (1,164 m) mountain just east of downtown Juneau, Alaska. Its accessible via the Mount Roberts Tramway that takes visitors up the mountain.

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski @JR_justJR @RoarLoudTravel A2. One of my recent favorite 'views from the top' is this shot of my wife and I on top of (1st photo) Grand Portal Point (2nd photo) on last year's 42 mile backpacking trip across @PicturedRocksNL! #TRLT
#TRLT A3 The highest I’ve been is #ThorangLa pass in #Nepal: 5416 meters (17,769 ft). No oxygen but it was tough!

#TRLT I don't do heights. I have trouble walking down a steep mountain path!
The best way to enjoy high places? From below :p
A4: In a hot air balloon! Because it's the most magical form of travel. I took this photo in a balloon flying over Bagan, Myanmar. @FuniFairfax #TRLT
A4: One for the adrenaline junkies! Who'd love to bungee jump off #VictoriaFalls? https://t.co/VDfmemfPN9 #TRLT
A4. Always climb to the highest vantage point overlooking any city you visit. E.g. church towers, Eiffel Tower, et al. Pics: 1. Saint-Emilion, France. 2. Melk seen from the Abbey. 3. Lisbon looking to the Río Tajo. #TRLT @FunInFairfax
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A4 I have a mild fear of heights but ballooning in @GallupRealTrue @NewMexico was not scary at all. The view was too gorgeous to be scared right @CharlesMcCool? #travel #TRLT

A4: I love flying over spectacular landscapes like the east coast of Labrador in winter. #TRLT
