[pic: the two volcanoes on Ambrym, #DiscoverVanuatu]

A1: The double volcanoes in Ometepe, Nicaragua make this place pretty hot and occasionally fiery! #trlt

A1 @DeathValleyNPS is the most extreme hot place I've been. @CharlesMcCool and I visited during our 16 months on the road many years ago. #roadtrip #travel @TheTravelCamel #TRLT

A1: I've been to places in the Middle East where the temperature has reached 50 Celsius (122 Fahrenheit) - it's like walking into an oven! Even more interesting is when a sandstorm arrives to make this heat even more memorable. #TRLT

A1: Studded with active volcanoes, malodorous sulphur-caked hot springs, solidified black lava flows and vast salt-encrusted basins, #Ethiopia's Danakil Depression is definitely an extreme hot and fiery place! https://t.co/Kp1ZtPSSO4 #TRLT

A1: I love the heat, but Chennai, India was so oppressively hot (over 100F/38C every day) that it was uncomfortable to walk around during the day. Shame, because what I saw was so pretty. @BradtGuides #TRLT

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @BradtGuides A1 Indian cities can be really hot and fiery in summers. I live in a hot and fiery city where summer temps can go up to 45°C. #TRLT

A1 HOTTEST & SMELLIEST this is Hell's Gate in #NewZealand - Don't get too close. You'll burn yourself via @BradtGuides #TRLT #adventure #travel #traveltuesday

A1: Anna can still feel the heat of #Colombia's Amazon Basin https://t.co/fTAMRTTT60 #TRLT

A1 One of the most extreme hot and fiery place I've visited on The Road Less Travelled was Australia's Whitsundays; at 30° last Fall, it was hot! The 74 Whitsunday Islands lie between the northeast coast of Queensland, Australia, and the Great Barrier Reef.

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @BradtGuides I’ve used this pic before I think, it’s the only active volcano I’ve been too, and don’t have many pictures of it, Kilauea on the Big Island in Hawaii, what a stink at the top 😷 #TRLT #A1

replying to @Touchse @Touchse @BradtGuides A1: Death Valley is always hot, but always beautiful! This was from the 2016 Super Bloom #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @BradtGuides A1. I remember driving from #Phoenix to #LosAngeles. The temperature topped out somewhere around 44 Celsius (about 110 F I think), and there was no physical relief and no traffic. I remember thinking, if we had car trouble, we’d surely die in the sun with no shade. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides A1) I may the wise decision to visit Palm Desert in July when the temperature was in triple digits, luckily I found relief from the heat by going up into the nearby mountains. #TRLT

replying to @pip_says @pip_says @BradtGuides A1: It was 43c in Las Vegas when we were there in June 2018. You'd go outside for 5 minutes, sweat buckets and then escape quickly back into the air-conditioned casinos ;-) #TRLT
