Cairo is probably the farthest away from my home that I’ve ever been. I don’t remember how long the flight was but we had a layover in Paris on our way there and a layover in Frankfurt on our way back. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @Cruisewriter A4 Even though we live just outside #WashingtonDC, there are lots of places that feel very remote, like in this quiet section of @Gr8FallsPark #travel #TRLT

replying to @Touchse @Touchse @Cruisewriter A4: So many of #NYC's parks and gardens feel like they're a world away. You can easily forget you're in the most densely populated city in the world and even find some space alone in some of them! (this is Wave Hill, The Bronx) #TRLT

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski @BradtGuides A3. The longest journey, by time was driving my daughter to university in New Brunswick, from Yellowknife. 10 days, and more than 7,000 km. Two kids, a mom, and a car. #travellingfoody #trlt

A4: Anna felt strangely isolated when she visited the vast deserts of #Cappadocia, despite not being that far from civilisation! #TRLT https://t.co/U8yCaYjspO

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @Cruisewriter A4: nowhere in Europe is particularly far from home but visiting Köln in 2013 was the first time I really felt like I'd been abroad - keeping in mind I'd been to Australia a month earlier.

Strange food, strange language, lonesome trip.

I've been since and love it now. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @FunInFairfax Lake Chilwa is Malawi’s second largest lake (nestled in the south east corner of #Malawi bordering Mozambique) the endless dirt roads here do take hours, but it’s well worth the journey! #TRLT @BradtGuides @TourismMalawi @thetblogger

Little Havana is Florida feels like a world away when you go into the grocery stores and have to point on the menu to the food you want because you don't speak the language! Also, the food is amazing! 😋🌮🍹 #trlt

A4. Armila in the Guna Yala indigenous province in Panama was only about 8 or 9 hours by in-air plane time and 15 minutes further by boat, but a step back in time to traditional ways and pristine islands like the iconic marooned on a desert island. 🙂 #trlt
