#Q2: What place do you think deserves to be a UNESCO World Heritage site but isn’t and why? Inspire us with a photo! via @heidisiefkas #TRLT

A2 Salut near Bahla Oman is very deserving of being a UNESCO site.
With a 3,000 year old hill fort, cairn tombs, 4,000 year old megalithic towers its a remarkable site - add in legends of King Soloman and epic battles between Persian Achaemenids & Arabs its a must be on..#TRLT

A2: The city of York in England should certainly be a World Heritage Site – an important Roman town, well preserved medieval city and birthplace of Rowntree’s chocolate! @heidisiefkas #TRLT #travel #TravelTuesday

A2 I feel that #Hawaii is under represented. Granted the volcano park is great, but what about Waimea Canyon #Kauai, Napali Coast, or Stairway to Heaven #Oahu via @heidisiefkas #TRLT #aloha #adventure #traveltuesday

replying to @WorldWideWriter @WorldWideWriter A2 Three solid reasons. Looks and sounds amazing. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @HeidiSiefkas A2. There re so many places, difficult to tell one. #trlt

A2 Many sites in Iceland are seeking UNESCO recognition. It is no wonder why! It was amazing to see the natural beauty on a day trip around the picturesque Reykjanes Peninsula from #Reykjavik in #Iceland! https://t.co/yO78v8n1sy #TTOT #TRLT @iceland

A2: We were surprised to find that the Rainbow Mountains in Peru are not listed. These are spectacular Natural Phenomena and at 16,000ft, definitely off the beaten path! #TRLT

replying to @TonyWalsh_me @TonyWalsh_me A2 Just reading this reminds me how young most things are here in the States. Thanks for the Oman add #TRLT.

RT @HeidiSiefkas: A2 I feel that #Hawaii is under represented. Granted the volcano park is great, but what about Waimea Canyon #Kauai, Napa…

#TRLT A2: is Morris Dancing recognised as a cultural UNESCO thing?
[my uncle is in this pic]

A2: We reckon Vinicunca in Peru deserves to be a natural World Heritage Site. Read about how Hilary thought she'd ended up on Mars when she got lost here in the 1970s in this month's The Travel Club! https://t.co/K3nNkeVgjU #TRLT

A2: We feel Andaman Islands in India needs to be part of world heritage site not only because of special tribes but also the corals need a lot of protection here. This pics of dead corals are really heartbreaking #TRLT

A2: It's a mystery why Las Geel in #Somaliland is not a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Easily the finest rock art I've ever seen. Thanks to @StuartMHurlbut for inspiring me to visit! #TRLT

A2 #TRLT @heidisiefkas How about Tomsk in central Siberia? The city was once the capital of the region, wooden houses were built here for almost 300 years - and some survive. It's a friendly, fascinating stop on the #Trans-Siberian.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @HeidiSiefkas A2. Something that’s very near to me! The historic dockyard in Chatham. It’s played a major part in the past in the defence of the country and it was where the Royal Navy used to repair, build and maintain its fleet. The area has a huuuge military background. #TRLT

replying to @pip_says @pip_says @HeidiSiefkas A2) I'm not sure if animal preserves are on the list if not I'd like to see some in order to help protect endangered species like the White Rhinos I saw in South Africa even further. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @HeidiSiefkas A2: I was shocked to find out St Paul's Cathedral, London isn't on the list. It's been a staple on the skyline since the 17th century. #TRLT

A2 There are more than 50 Khorezm Fortresses in Karakalpakstan, & they definitely deserve @UNESCO status. Ayaz Qala & Topraq Qala are easily accessible from Khiva & exemplify the power of the ancient civilisations who built them. #TRLT

A2 I was amazed to find out that the Valley of the Kings in Egypt was not on the UNESCO list. https://t.co/fqszginNOg So many different tombs and temples in this spot! #TRLT @heidisiefkas @pip_says @Touchse

A2 What should be on the @UNESCO list and isn't ... about 10,000 sites in India! Seriously, there are incredible heritage monuments, abandoned cities, ancient temples, tombs and forts all over India that deserve to be preserved and protected #TRLT

@LindaPeters64 @HeidiSiefkas A2. Gwalior Fort

A2: Sierra Leone’s Bunce Island has been on the tentative UNESCO list since 2012. Whilst its slave fort ruins undoubtedly make for a sobering visit, they are an important and poignant reminder of the past #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2 I agree, I don't know why it's not listed. #TRLT

A2: Still waiting for Fremantle's historic West End to be added to the list. Largest concentration of Georgian and Victorian buildings in the southern hemisphere #trlt

A2: A place that I think deserves to be a UNESCO World Heritage site, but isn't is Old Montreal, Canada. Founded by French settlers in 1642 as Fort Ville-Marie, Old Montreal is home to many structures dating back to the era of New France.
