A3 Many of the sites in Canada are not well known. Both Grand Pre for the Fundy Tides and Lunenburg were treats to visit in Nova Scotia. https://t.co/f2BgsRFa9e #TRLT @postcardsplaces @LindaPeters64 @RTW_Backpacker

#TRLT one problem I have is generally I don't know that sites are UNESCO until after I visit.

replying to @Shannon_Skinner @Shannon_Skinner @theexploringeye @TRLT The Taj Mahal was my choice too - but with no photo I opted for another place. #TRLT

replying to @Breathedreamgo @Breathedreamgo @postcardsplaces @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 It was a huge site and each area was so beautiful. #TRLT

replying to @sl2016_sl @sl2016_sl @TheTravelCamel @HeidiSiefkas Really - me too! But it was a long time ago and we certainly didn't have school trips to the dockyard (I think it may have been a bit of a no-go area in those days) #TRLT

replying to @endahkwira @endahkwira @TheTravelCamel true, heard this place is really huge #TRLT

A3: The Tasmanian Wilderness, taking up a huge chunk of south-east Tasmania is UNESCO listed and home to rare trees such as the Huon Pine and is also believed to be where Tasmanian Tigers could possibly still be found. #trlt

#TRLT I don't think I have any edited pics of Baalbeck in Lebanon - but that's a UNESCO site, surely? And one that's not often visited. When I went there there were pretty much only two other people in the entire complex.

replying to @Ebike_holidays @Ebike_holidays @TravelwithPict1 @theexploringeye It is on the list. #TRLT

replying to @TravelAtWill @TravelAtWill @postcardsplaces @LindaPeters64 @RTW_Backpacker The Fundy Tides and Nova Scotia are definitely places I want to see! #trlt

I felt as though no one knew about iguazu falls in Argentina in the U.K. well they should do as it’s breathtaking #TRLT

replying to @NinaTrankova @NinaTrankova @HeidiSiefkas Those are very large roses! #TRLT

A3: Skara Brae in the Orkney Islands, of the North Coast of Scotland is a little known site of ancient organized civilization - 5,000+ yrs old. More mysteries of our past. #TRLT

replying to @wheresshellyii @wheresshellyii woahhh, Tasmanian wilderness is really a special one #TRLT

A3: We’re fascinated by the Royal Palaces of Abomey! With walls made of blood and palaces containing thrones balanced on human heads, this gory Buckingham Palace of Benin is a testament to a now-vanished, powerful kingdom. https://t.co/GeIzCNrRld #TRLT

replying to @RCMtalks @RCMtalks @HeidiSiefkas Really, not on the list - a mystery for sure! #TRLT

replying to @swillmedia @swillmedia @LindaPeters64 A2 I've seen that big sheep before. My hometown, Trempealeau, has a catfish. This year it is wearing a mask too. #TRLT #traveltuesday #wisconsin

replying to @TravelAtWill @TravelAtWill @postcardsplaces @TheTravelCamel Beautiful, Linda and probably less crowded? #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A3 : Probably Trogir in Croatia. People concentrate on other cities such as Dubrovnik. #TRLT

replying to @epicureanexpats @epicureanexpats @postcardsplaces @LindaPeters64 @RTW_Backpacker It was cool to visit the coastal towns in low tide. Strange seeing boats sitting on their keels. #TRLT

replying to @WorldWideWriter @WorldWideWriter @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces It’s a very interesting reminder of the Industrial Revolution #TRLT

A3 The least known @UNESCO sites I've visited in India include
- Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka
- Sundarbans National Park
- Sun Temple of Konark
- Elephanta Caves
#TRLT

replying to @safetravels196 @safetravels196 @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces I missed those in Qatar, but I saw lots of very similar mounds in Bahrain #TRLT

A3 #trlt I have no concept of what’s less known. Carcassonne, Masada, Acre, Polish salt mines???! No idea. I’ll go with ‘Bahá’i Holy Places in Haifa and the Western Galilee’ as I didn’t know about the religion & it had some beautiful gardens.

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @postcardsplaces @TheTravelCamel It was much bigger so people were more spread out. And so much to see. #TRLT

replying to @ShebsAlom @ShebsAlom I think almost every ancient Egyptian structure should be on the list. #TRLT

A3 Lots of people know that Uzbekistan's Silk Road cities are @UNESCO sites, but they overlook the natural treasures. The Western Tien Shan Mountains also have World Heritage Site status, & are a wonderful contrast to the urban sites, especially in summertime. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A3 I don't know...there may be a few I've been to that are not well known...Agadez in Niger, Meroe in Sudan, Las Geel in Somaliland, Djenne in Mali to mention a few. #TRLT

RT @ankit1989: @LindaPeters64 @HeidiSiefkas A2. Gwalior Fort

replying to @BradtGuides @BradtGuides @LindaPeters64 @HeidiSiefkas If the Acropolis in Athens can get UNESCO World Heritage status, why can’t a giant concrete sheep in Australia? #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @HeidiSiefkas At least the historic heart of Quebec City has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. After all, that's where twin brothers in the French Army arrived & founded my family in North America. :-) #TRLT
