A2: Perched atop a wooden cliff, The Hideaway at @dromquinna is nothing short of a luxurious escape and a surrender to nature! #TRLT
replying to @sl2016_sl @sl2016_sl @TheTravelCamel #trlt either a nice hotel with a well stocked breakfast buffet, cold meats, smoked salmon, plenty of fresh fruit (an egg chef makes it even better). Or our motorhome.
A1: Depends, sometimes I'm happy with an avg hotel, sometimes (particularly in SE Asia) I want a 4-5* hotel and other times I'll go with a clean hostel, capsule hotel or pension #trlt
A2: I prefer apartments/homes to hotels, or at least a place with a small kitchen. A favourite of this category would be the house we had on Chios island, just a couple hundred metres from Limnos Beach on the Aegean, and a ten minute walk from town.
#TRLT
replying to @sl2016_sl @sl2016_sl @TheTravelCamel I love a good hotel breakfast buffet. Even better if I have little planned for the day so I can enjoy it longer. #trlt
replying to @SKJtraveler @SKJtraveler yep yep. That's the advantage of couchsurfing / airbnb / hostels / local guesthouses. you get that personal information that's quite useful that hotels sadly often lack. #trlt
replying to @StuartMHurlbut @StuartMHurlbut @RTWBarefoot Interesting you say that - we were planning for a trip with the family (including 3 year old Avalon) and having a kitchen was important for a longer stay. #TRLT
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @JLipowski It’s a shame, because it made Switzerland affordable for me. Still, it’s an excuse to start broadening my horizons again. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A1 #TRLT I agree different accommodation suits different needs. Sometimes staying in a very tall building helps (with finding your way back at night!)
A:1 it is a mix for me depending on the duration of the stay & destination hotels AirBnb or lodges #TRLT
replying to @MikeBeckley1 @MikeBeckley1 @sl2016_sl Hello Mike, and welcome to #TRLT - is this your first time here? Love a place with a high quality and variety of buffet breakfast options - it means no need for lunch.

replying to @findinganeish @findinganeish @JLipowski hehe yep, if there's one thing I'm glad about, it's that I did my Europe inter-rail trip last Autumn. So whatever happens going forward, I've already seen almost everything I want to in Europe's expensiver places! #trlt
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel Either a tent on the ground, or a roof top tent is our favourite accommodation as you can go and stay in hard to reach destinations, such as Nyika Plateau in Northern Malawi #TRLT #Malawi @BradtGuides

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A1: Hotels all the way and the more luxurious the better. I dont want to worry about things, so I stick with top brands, although, every now and then they disappoint me, but I know what I'm getting each time and I can get things corrected when they screw up. #TRLT #WhereisKerwin

A1: Apartments are nice for a long stay and can be more economical, but for a romantic stay it's nice to have a hotel's facilities, like a big pool with a view. #TRLT #LosCabos
replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski A1 A clean comfortable room with attached loos whether a hotel or homestay and preferably with a view. #trlt
A1- I usually prefer to stay in hotels because I like having amenities right there when I need them. Amenities is a fancy way to spell bar #trlt #travelingsession
replying to @DrNeilMatthews @DrNeilMatthews The more I've travelled the more I do this. On a trip to Kochi in India last year, I chose to stay in a family run place in the Fort Kochi area so that I could wake early or stay out late to photograph. Only needed a short walk home once photography was done. #TRLT
