replying to @pip_says @pip_says Just over a year or so ago I tackled Pen y Fan in period costume with a bunch of fabulous woman in tribute to the hillwalking ladies that came before us. It was more tricky wearing full skirts in the breeze at the top than wearing a corset to hike #TRLT

A2 The green hills around San Luis Obispo and Cambria on the California coast were so green an inviting. Reminded me of Ireland! #TRLT @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 @JLipowski @heidiSiefkas @pip_says @Touchse

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2: The Glasshouse Mountains in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. NgunGun, The White Horse and Beerbarum all offer stellar views and on a clear day you can 40km down to Brisbane 🧡 #VisitAustralia #LoveBrisbane #HomeAwayFromHome #TRLT

A2: OK, not a hill, but many of the mountains at Shenandoah National Park are easily accessible and not too high (the tallest is about 4,000 feet). Multiple short hikes to peaks. #TRLT

A2: How about the hilltop ruins of Dorset’s Corfe Castle? Magnificent from every angle, this historic site also offers stellar views of the surrounding landscape. #TRLT

replying to @pip_says @pip_says A2) In the Bay Area I'd recommend hiking to the top of Mt Wanda (its actually a hill) at @JohnMuirNPS, not only will you have some great views of the surrounding area but you'll be tracing the steps of famed Naturist John Muir took with his daughters. #TRLT

A2: A small mountain I'd recommend for walking, hiking or admiring the view is Sugarloaf Mountain, near Frederick, MD, with it's well marked trails & interesting history. Northern and Southern forces alternated in posting lookouts at the summit during the civil war.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2: Though Mt. Scenery in Saba is hardly a “small hill” — it’s almost 3,000 feet high — I recommend hiking the lower slopes for the botanical delights. #TRLT

What is the first hill or mountain you climbed (perhaps it was your first) that gave you a love for mountains? Inspire us with a photo! via . It has to be hiking those hills in Cairns Australia and Jebel Kujur in Juba, South Sudan.

A2 If you are in #Belfast then it is really worth a climb up the Cave Hill to Napoleon's Nose for great views all across the city and the lough. My grandparents used to live near by so this was a regular walk for me. Bit of an old photo but you can see the H&W cranes #trlt
