replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel That's something you find in the UK a bit - the highest points are often 'isolated' so you get long views. It's why Glastonbury Tor is seen as so spiritual - it's a mound surrounded by floodplains #trlt

A2: Shropshire is a wanderer’s dream and the oft-overlooked Stiperstones is one of our favourite hillwalking spots. But beware, it’s said to be haunted! Six whistlers circle the skies over the craggy ridge and the appearance of the seventh will herald the end of the world… #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2. The Yorkshire Dales highest peak is Whernside at 2400 feet so we have hills rather than mountains, making hiking accessible to all levels of fitness, even in winter!. #TRLT

Q2: Which small hills would you recommend for walking, hiking or admiring? #TRLT The #EildonHills in the '#ScottishBorders are 3 small hills that rise out of relatively flat land. Easy to bag and with wonderful views all round. Melrose, at its foot, has a wonderful ruined abbey.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel A2: Id recommend Mount Monadanock in New Hampshire, US. As strange as it sounds, it's long been cited by climbing sites/references as the #2 most frequently climbed mountain in the world #TRLT Fun day trip at only 1748 ft.

#TRLT A2: On the Hebridean island of Benbecula is Mt Ruabhal. It's 124m high and a nice hike through the old rocks and grassy shrubland.

From the top you get good views across much of the Outer Hebrides.

replying to @pip_says @pip_says Just over a year or so ago I tackled Pen y Fan in period costume with a bunch of fabulous woman in tribute to the hillwalking ladies that came before us. It was more tricky wearing full skirts in the breeze at the top than wearing a corset to hike #TRLT

A2: OK, not a hill, but many of the mountains at Shenandoah National Park are easily accessible and not too high (the tallest is about 4,000 feet). Multiple short hikes to peaks. #TRLT
