A5: Everywhere. I believe at the heart of every culture lies their food. If you want to connect with a people, show an appreciation for their food. Go to local haunts & try regional dishes. This connects Jon & I immediately to a place. #TRLT https://t.co/pCaEOjo4zL

A5: On the Transsiberian. I travelled there in the third class, which is like an open dormitory, and everyone was sharing food. Even if we didn't know each other's language, we communicated through food. And vodka. #TRLT

A5: Felt like one of the gang in Tokyo - Before it moved locations, I slipped into the Tsujiki Fish Market at dawn for the uni auction. via @LindaPeters64 #TRLT Blog post: https://t.co/kPqVMhbzOr

A5: During her visit to World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan, Carys ate lunch with a local family. She was invited inside their yurt and sampled tea, boortsog and kumys. #TRLT

A5: connecting more deeply with local culture on The Road Less Travelled via food brings Jamaica to mind. Jerk chicken, curried goat, oxtail, rice and peas, Jamaican squash soup, with dumplings & beef patties all entice wonderfully.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides A4. Difficult to say if it is the most memorable coz I have so many #food memories. But I would like to share from the time, when I experience #foodtruck for the first time. It is from the time when I visited 'Heritage transport museum' in Gurgaon #trlt

Ladakh is nothing less than a paradise but it also has a lot to offer in food. While there, I gorged on momos, Thukpa, ginger lemon tea etc. Local food is lip smacking.
