replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @RTWBarefoot @LindaPeters64 @Touchse @pip_says Hey hey I'm joining from #Maui #Hawaii where you can tell travelers are back. Nearly 345K this month. #trlt #traveltuesday

A1: Ancient engineering feats are always so impressive because of their age and scale. Wonders like the Great Mosque of Samarra in Iraq, which at the time of construction in 848CE was the largest mosque in the world, are truly mindblowing! #TRLT

A1: Ancient, because it was achieved without modern technology. For example, just getting all those monoliths from Wales to Salisbury Plain. #Stonehenge @postcardsplaces #TRLT

A1 #TRLT I tend to like modern structures over the ancient ones, although there have been some ancient ones I’ve liked a lot. This is the Old Bridge in Mostar, Bosnia & the Golden Bridge in Vietnam.

A1: Ancient marvels also give you an incredible sense of history – at places like Great Zimbabwe, for example. Has anyone here visited? #TRLT

A1: I like both. Here are 2: the Lost City in #Colombia & Umeda Tower in #Osaka #Japan via @postcardsplaces #TRLT #traveltuesday

A1: Some modern engineering marvels feel like works of art in their own right. Take the National Library in Prishtina for instance – love it or hate it, there's no denying its architectural prowess! #TRLT

replying to @BradtGuides @BradtGuides It's been nice - can take my daughter for walks along the tree lined roads again. A lovely way to have some daddy-daughter time. #TRLT

A1. As a tech geek, there is something to be said for both! I love asking: "how did they do that!" #TRLT photos: Amphitheatre of Pompeii & Disney Concert Hall

A1: We love modern engineering marvels that defy the laws of physics, and Baku's Heydar Aliyev Center is certainly one of those. It looks like it's melting! #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A1: I'm more impressed by ancient marvels as I always think "how" when they didn't have the technology and science we do now, like this burial chamber in Wales dating back to 3,500BC. How is it still upright? #TRLT

@TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces Q1: Do you prefer ancient or modern Engineering Marvels or both? Share a favourite of each category! via

A2: I do like older achievements because of what it took to pull them off. Such as these massive suspension bridges in #Nepal

replying to @BradtGuides @BradtGuides Yes, one of my favourite places in Africa. #TRLT
