The year before I saw the Itaipu Dam in Brazil/Paraguay. 3 Gorges replaced it as the largest dam.

A2: Another highlight of Laura's trip to Scotland was Neptune's Staircase on the Caledonian Canal. Built by Thomas Telford, this amazing feat of engineering is the longest staircase lock in Scotland & raises the canal by 19m over a quarter of a mile of continuous masonry! #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A2: Hard to limit to just one and they're all pretty cliche, but there's a reason for it. Despite being desperate to go the Taj Mahal, Ayia Sofia, Machu Picchu and Petra, I was still in awe #TRLT

I guess I traveled for Taipei 101. I took the stairs to the top, too.

replying to @aok_NW @aok_NW I love staying @GrandHyattKL as it has absolutely stunning views from its 35th floor. I was amazed by the view when entering my hotel room for the first time; 8 pm, floor-to-ceiling windows, facing directly #petronastwintowers - wow! Fell asleep watching this!

replying to @BradtGuides @BradtGuides @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces I went there every morning for a week and finally got a burner sunrise. Wish I had a photo of the approx 1,000 people behind me in this shot 😁 #TRLT

A3: the four Tring Reservoirs were originally designed to supply water to the Grand Union Canal. The route through the Tring Gap
needed a flight of six locks, culminating in the summit of the canal at Marsworth Top Lock. #Chilterns #TRLT @bradtguides

A3: I’m biased since I’m a D.C.-area guy, but I think the neck-straining Capitol rotunda is an engineering marvel. #TRLT

#trlt A3: I'm tempted to say the Woodhead Tunnel. A dead railway line tunnel bored through the hills of the Peak District.

A3: Since there are none close to me, I'll chose an engineering marvel in my home away from home - Dubai. The world's tallest building - the Burj Khalifa. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A1: define ancient… if these castles were in the US, they would be ancient but in Europe they’re basically modern 😂 #trlt
