A3 #TRLT The Astoria Megler Bridge in Astoria, Oregon was the last part of US Hwy 101 completed in 1966. At 4.1 miles across the mouth of the Columbia River it is still the longest continuous truss bridge in North America.

A3: Behind me is the Fish Pond in Lihue #Kauai #Hawaii. The locals tell that menehune (small people) built this fish pond off the river for better fishing. via @bradtguides #TRLT #traveltuesday

There are many great stops in Nova Scotia ... https://t.co/bDxYd2mAoo on our month long road trip to Atlantic Canada. #TTOT #TRLT @Halifax_Canada @VisitNovaScotia @ParksCanada_NS

A3: Anna is from Yorkshire, and loves the Gothic architecture of York Minster, which is one of the largest cathedrals in the world. Has anyone got it on their to-visit list? https://t.co/uw4P4nwh5a #TRLT

A3: I'm not sure it qualifies as a marvel, but the Mackinac (pronounced naw at the end) Bridge spanning the Straits of Mackinac where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron meet is the 10th largest suspension bridge. #TRLT https://t.co/j6XEh8jDPU

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides A3: It's cheating to say London but you've got everything from a Roman amphitheatre, the Underground and, what I think are rather beautiful and impressive feats of engineering, gasometers. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @BradtGuides The iconic twin ponds, hydrologic engineering marvels of ancient Sri Lanka. #TRLT

A3. Sun Valley, Idaho's Sun Valley Pavilion. This open air pavilion is home to @SVMusicFestival @svwriters & more great events and is located @sunvalley! @TheTravelCamel: perfect acoustics! #TRLT

replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas @BradtGuides A3) The Hoover Dam is just a few hours drive through the Mojave Desert from my place. Unfortunately because of the drought the water level of Lake Mead behind it is at a record low. #TRLT

A3: Growing up in the West Midlands, Carys loved visiting nearby Ironbridge. The town’s namesake is the world’s first iron bridge, which was built in 1779 and showcases the genius of local ironmasters https://t.co/9ctL4bPZqk #TRLT

@aok_NW @GrandHyattKL Even greater irl, naturally! Stayed at the same hotel & same room on my next visit, love @GrandHyattKL also for its fantastic service, at least on the Executive floor & lounge, spot on. Also loved watching the towers during my breakfasts. The pool area isn't bad either ;)

@TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces Q1: Do you prefer ancient or modern Engineering Marvels or both? Share a favourite of each category! via @postcardsplaces
A1: I like both but prefer older as it has more character. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel
@TheTravelCamel @postcardsplaces A1 Both, and in Japan you get a lot of both, sometimes close together.

A4: At Ulug Beg’s Observatory in Uzbekistan, Laura was struck not only by the scale of the remaining quadrant arc, but also by the precision with which it was made. Its accuracy regarding exact calculations was beaten only by the invention of the computer. #TRLT
