A4: It was fascinating to visit the infamous pit at Khor Virap, where St. Gregory the Illuminator (credited with bringing Christianity to Armenia) was kept prisoner for ca. 13 years in the 3rd century.

An incredible history - well worth braving the dodgy ladder. #TRLT

Basilica Cistern/Yerebatan Sarnici ❤️

Built 532AD - the largest surviving Byzantine cistern in İstanbul: 336 columns + many salvaged bits from older temples and palaces, a real treasure trove if you like your ancient architecture! #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @HeidiSiefkas A4) One of my favorite underground or what I like to call it, Hidden Gems is Eugene O'Neill National Historic Site. There you'll learn about the latter part of the Pulitzer & Nobel Prize winning playwright's life. #TRLT
