A4: It was fascinating to visit the infamous pit at Khor Virap, where St. Gregory the Illuminator (credited with bringing Christianity to Armenia) was kept prisoner for ca. 13 years in the 3rd century.

An incredible history - well worth braving the dodgy ladder. #TRLT

replying to @DrNeilMatthews @DrNeilMatthews @Hellfire_Caves @HeidiSiefkas I remember at a one day cricket match between Australia and England in Brisbane in the early 80s - someone sneaked a pig into the ground and let it loose. It had "Botham' and 'Eddie' (as in Hemmings) painted on it. Not as good as what Wilkes did though. #TRLT

Built 532AD - the largest surviving Byzantine cistern in İstanbul: 336 columns + many salvaged bits from older temples and palaces, a real treasure trove if you like your ancient architecture! #TRLT
