A3: Wiltshire’s Avebury Stone Circles (erected between 2850BC and 2200BC) are the largest Neolithic henge monument in Britain. So big, in fact, that Stonehenge could fit inside them 130 times over! #TRLT

A3: Avebury, 5000+ years old. The largest stone circle, the largest prehistoric mound and one of the longest burial mounds in the British Isles; one of the largest settlements of the early Neolithic period; and one of the longest avenues of standing stones. @RTWBarefoot #TRLT

A3: Maltas’s megalithic temples are some of the oldest stone buildings in the world and by far the most sophisticated. Erected during the 4th and 3rd millennium BC, each magnificent complex offers a unique insight into Malta’s prehistoric culture. #TRLT

A3. These standing stones are the prehistoric Bodach and Cailleach on Gigha (#InnerHebrides surprise, surprise) - thought to represent a man and woman. Similarly to most standing stones around Scotland (and elsewhere), we really don't know how old they are. #trlt

A3. The rock carving at the summit of Schiehallion probably isn't that old, but across the area there's countless carved + etched stones left by the Picts + as a probable pre-literate culture, we really don't know that much about them #TRLT
