replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4: I guess because I’ve been traveling in my region too much during this pandemic, I’m kinda over it, for now. So, instead I’m thinking back to my month in Southeast Asia. This is a 19th century citadel in Vinh, Vietnam. #TRLT

replying to @JCreatureTravel @JCreatureTravel @travelhistory1 I'm a big fan of using doors, arches, windows and even tree branches to frame a photo. #TRLT
replying to @MoragForbes @MoragForbes A4: Most people will never come to NYC and head out of it for a few days; a 10 minute drive north of us (and we are a 38 min train ride from midtown) is NY state's oldest operating church (1685) and, near it, an estate from the same period. Old...for the U.S.! #trlt
A5: Editor Susannah recently enjoyed a Dickens-themed auditour of Bloomsbury, London. So much to see if you slow down and look more closely at your modern surroundings, hidden historical gems all around – and don’t forget to look up! #TRLT
A5: Colchester. I didn't know it was Britain's 1st recorded city and (under the Romans) its 1st capital. The only Roman Circus that has been found in Britain is here. The Castle has some outstanding Roman artefacts, and a chariot racing simulator! @ramblrramblr #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @HeidiSiefkas Being in one of the locks is an experience that I won't forget as well. #TRLT
replying to @BradtGuides @BradtGuides @wanderingrowe yay :) and yes. It's different enough to the Outer Hebrides as to be special on its own, yet still just as yearning. #trlt

A5: 2 years ago today I was in #Japan - I would love to go back for more. It was a sensory explosion trip via @ramblrramblr #TRLT #traveltuesday
There is indeed! It is thought that Bram Stoker’s visit to Whitby in 1890 was the inspiration for the setting of his gothic masterpiece 🧛#TRLT
A4: Historical places give people a sense of place and connection to the past. A historical place that I would recommend for visitors to our region is Vancouver's Stanley Park.

Aloha - biked there yesterday, hike it frequently, and walk thru ancient taro fields often. Magical. #trlt https://t.co/LHtFBShola
replying to @FitLifeTravel @FitLifeTravel @RTWBarefoot @CABRILLONPS Ah, those tight circular steps - built for efficiency rather than comfort. #TRLT
A5: One of the last historical sites Laura visited before the pandemic was the Temples of Angkor Wat. To put it simply, she was utterly blown away. #TRLT
replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A4: I would suggest a train trip up from NYC to Cold Spring, NY where the Hudson narrows and it looks as if you're back in the 1700s. Really special. I married in an 1840 church there at river's edge (no electricity, only candles) that appears in period etchings. #trlt

replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas A5. Earlier this September I stopped by this nice park which really helped me understand the importance of Sacajawea to the Lewis& Clark mission since I just had gone to her village before that. 🗺: https://t.co/msyxQ8HV4O #trlt
replying to @CaitlinKellyNYC @CaitlinKellyNYC @LindaPeters64 How lovely - a church with only candles. #TRLT
replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @ramblRramblR A5: The most recent place must have been the Brockville, Ontario Railway tunnel. It was built in 1860 and was operational all the way until 1970! It was amazing to see how much work goes into creating something monumental like that. #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @ramblRramblR A5. The Wallace Monument. We go everytime we visit family in Stirling, Scotland. But we hadn’t been in over a decade. It’s always a great place to re-visit, the story of William Wallace is very impactful. #TRLT

A5: This historical place is in my hometown; it was our former post office. I used to dream of living there. Now it's a museum and I sit on the Board of Directors so it has special significance to me. It inspired my love of history & I visit it often. #TRLT https://t.co/97lGPL9L5K
