A1. What I like most about hiking is pretty simply, I just enjoy getting to see beautiful places under my own steam. The photo is from here in Iceland a couple of days ago. #TRLT

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski @TravelAtWill #trlt a1 - we love to hike. We have hikes right in Union Gap - we are the start of the 22 mile Greenway trail. And have a trail from Ag Museum to ridge line.

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A2) I don't have a favorite trail here yet but back in the Bay Area I liked going on with Mt Wanda trail at John Muir National Historic Site for the exercise, the views & that the famed naturalist walked the same trail with his daughters. #TRLT

#TRLT A2: I took the idea of 'local' hikes a bit too far 2 yrs ago tho - I hiked across Great Britain - 952 miles, 57 days, from the furthest East to the furthest West points!

Maybe one day I'll write a book on it (well, it got a chapter in "The Biggest Book of Yes'!)

A2. 'Local' is an interesting term for me, as I live in several places at once (or nowhere). On Islay (where my family lives) I love the Oa. #TRLT #InnerHebrides

replying to @RTWBarefoot @RTWBarefoot @LindaPeters64 #trlt a2 a fav is some of the hikes in the Yakima River Canyon. You gain some quick elevation and often run upon fly fishers as well in the only Blue Ribbon #flyfishing river in Washington

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A3 #TRLT On my long distance hike from Zagora to Merzouga we came across a snake. It wasn't the season for them and we first thought it was dead. But then it moved! Looked like a cobra, but found out later it's rather harmless for humans.

A1 the peace the quiet is great, but knowing something beautiful could be around any corner is a buzz. Like this below from Australia #TRLT @TravelAtWill

A3 #TRLT The one time I did have a bit of a surprise was walking the Historic Columbia River Highway Trail near Hood River, Oregon. I ran into a Northern Pacific Rattlesnake sunning itself. https://t.co/qZALNaanFL
