I've visited 272 of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are some obvious ones but there are plenty of less well known ones like #Evora which are worth the effort to see out #TRLT A1

A1: History sites are always a favourite of mine - such as the ancient city of Persepolis in Iran. #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @junkkDNA @CharlesMcCool A1) All of the above, be it a UNESCO World Heritage site or not I like visiting places that will help expend my mind. My favorite is probably Yosemite National Park. #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @junkkDNA @CharlesMcCool A1: I have visited a ton of heritage sites when I was still living in Russia. My absolute favourite one is Kurskaya Kosa (I saw it in Kaliningrad, the most western part of Russia). It was so long ago and I don't have any pics left. This is a google image #TRLT

replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas @junkkDNA @CharlesMcCool A1: I love to immerse myself in previous time periods - imagine what life was like in a different time.

I am particularly fond of architecture. This is the gothic Cathédrale Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Bazas (part of the French Compostela UNESCO route). #TRLT

A1: For me, the UNESCO list is a soul-feeder. I love to learn, and it provides a shortcut to a bunch of fascinating places. Here's Iguazu, which really has to be seen to be believed. #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 @junkkDNA @CharlesMcCool As I was looking it up for today’s chat, I wondered why some of the USA NPs are and some aren’t. I definitely think @ArchesNPS and @CanyonlandsNPS are worthy too? #TRLT

A1: I gravitate toward historical UNESCO sites - architectural ones especially! Pictured below is the modernist city of Asmara, Eritrea 🇪🇷, inscribed in 2017. #trlt https://t.co/hmagWDgitk

A2: I don't remember any Unesco site without that many people. I think that once a site gets on the Unesco list, it becomes very popular. Recently 11 spa towns in Europe were added, and one of them is Marianske Lazne in the Czech Republic. Not that busy yet :) #TRLT

A1. I love supporting UNESCO's efforts and the destinations they help preserve. Like spots in the Sea of Cortez which I return to as often as I can. Picture from diving Los Islotes Seal Rookery. #TRLT #TravelTuesday #LaPaz
