replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @ramblRramblR A3) Perhaps the most interesting fact I've learned about a UNESCO World Heritage Site was at Chaco Culture National Historical Park was that they couldn't explain it since there's no written history of what went on there. #TRLT

A3 #TRLT Visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park I learned this was where the first casualty of the Croatian War of Independence happened. It was closed for several years which the park really needed. It had been really worn down from all the visitors.

Maybe that the blue colour for ancient Roman togas came from Essaouira in Morocco. Although technically, the islands it came from are not in the medina, which is the UNESCO site.

A3: visiting UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fort Langley, B.C., I learned it's known as the birthplace of British Columbia, Canada. Built in 1827, as a Hudson’s Bay Company fur trading post, on the Fraser River & once part of a trade route for the British Empire.
