Q4: The forgotten silk road city Otrartobe near #Shymkent in #Kazakhstan is not yet listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But it is the birthplace of philosopher Al-Farabi and the first huge city attacked by Dschingis Khan. via @CharlesMcCool #TRLT

A4: The Crossness Pumping Station in London. It's been built in the Victorian times to clean River Thames. It looks like a work of art, not like a sewage pumping station. #TRLT

A4: I would like to know how the #Virunga Mountains of #Rwanda are not on the #unseco list, when some of their inhabitants are #endangered, like the #gorilla here! #TRLT

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool A4. The Wallace monument in Scotland. I was very surprised that it isn’t a unesco site, especially as William Wallace is considered one of Scotland heroes. The monument and its surroundings are wonderful. #TRLT

Q4: Which site is not listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site but it should be? @CharlesMcCool #TRLT
A4: Probably the Salt Lakes of Tunisia that stretch all the way from the Med to the Algerian border. They are stunningly beautiful.

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @CharlesMcCool A4 Lord's. Home of cricket. Among other things, UNESCO status might reduce the chance of misjudged redevelopment in future. #TRLT

A4: The mountainside village of Bordj Zemoura, Bordj Bou Arreridj province, Algeria 🇩🇿. An important stop on the trade route once connecting the Sahara with Mediterranean ports and home to the best views in the country. #trlt https://t.co/TGPlIMSgmc

A4 #TRLT I think Crater Lake National Park (@CraterLakeNPS) in Southern Oregon should be a UNESCO site. How could you not with that amazing blue water? Probably some day.

@LindaPeters64 @CharlesMcCool A4. Matsumoto Castle isn’t a UNESCO site but it easily could be. There are many sites like this around the world and I don’t know why some are and some aren’t- but I hope they get the protection they need. 🗺:

A4: Nominee for UNESCO site: I'm kinda shocked Sardinia isn't on the list. I'm a big Capo Testo fan, but the island has lots of candidates. #TRLT

A4: One of the greatest mysteries of my travels is why the extraordinary ancient rock art of #Somaliland is not a UNESCO World Heritage Site. #TRLT

A4. Make the Meso American Reef that runs for 600 miles along the east coast of South America UNESCO protected. It could use help with coral die-off from invasive bacteria. I dove Roatan in May. Not what it was. #TRLT

replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas @CharlesMcCool A4) As far as I know, Kings Canyon & Sequoia National Parks aren't on the UNESCO World Heritage list which isn't surprising since they are usually overshadowed by their neighbor to the north, Yosemite National Park. #TRLT

replying to @JLipowski @JLipowski @CharlesMcCool A4: I was surprised to find out that none of the Cretan (Minoan) archaeological sites are listed. #TRLT

A4 Lahaina #maui as the royal Hawaiian capitol until it was moved to Honolulu. It’s a town with such historic significance to Maui and its melange of culture. via @CharlesMcCool #TRLT #traveltuesday

A4: a site not listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site but should be is the medieval 13th century German town fortress of Stadt Zons. With it's car free cobblestone streets, walls and moats and windmill, it feels like walking through a fairy tale.
