replying to @HeidiSiefkas @HeidiSiefkas @LindaPeters64 I have planned to visit once again in Iceland. This time because of the Geldingadalir eruption. Hope I can do that before the eruption ends. Another dream is to travel to Greenland or Svalbard. #TRLT

replying to @LindaPeters64 @LindaPeters64 A3) Yes, one of the reasons I went to Chile was to go up into the Andes even though it was for a brief visit. #TRLT

A3 So often when I go somewhere there happens to be magnificent geographical wonders. This is a small island on the West Coast of #SouthAfrica. There is a colony of 10,000 birds in the months from October to February. #trlt #travelchatSA

A3 Yellowstone National Park is about a 3 hour drive and is a perfect long weekend (over & over again)! Yes, it meets expectations and then some! #trlt

Bay of Fundy is home to the highest tides in the world. Paddle at 2p, walk on the ocean floor at 5p.

A3. Yes, certainly. This fossil tree imprint on Mull, and the dinosaur footprints near Staffin on Skye, were both things I hunted out especially. I was pretty excited to find them. #TRLT #InnerHebrides

replying to @TheTravelCamel @TheTravelCamel @LindaPeters64 A3: I delight in all sorts of geological features around me when I travel, whether they’re the most spectacular or not, because they stimulate my curiosity. This is from one of my cross-country ski trips in the mountains of Slovenia. #TRLT

A3: we have travelled specifically to visit a geographic wonder, and the Grand Canyon surpassed all of our expectations with it's humbling awe inspiring, vast beauty.

Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. I travelled out there to see it in flood once. From the air you could watch the water flowing into the lake

A3. Not really - and I tend to avoid things that are (over) publicized. sometimes that's a pity. but I've seen a lot of waterfalls, mountains, canyons, lakes and rivers! #trlt

A4. Yes, I worked in Emstrur for 5 weeks this Summer. We called it the Planet Emstrur, for fairly obvious reasons. #TRLT #Iceland

A4: A second mention of Mt Yasur volcano in Vanuatu during this edition of #TRLT. Layers of ash at the foot of the volcano give it a sci-fi appearance.
